Great looks really expensive, compared to others I've had. Had a little trouble light actually turned off when door open ,think it might be installation wire cross. Hopefully not unit, but small issue.
Pros: Looks awsome

This is a very good unit overall. I wanted to get an overhead DVD monitor but there are no big name brands (e.g. Sony, Panasonic, Pioneer, JVC, Kenwood, etc.) except for Alpine, so I went with this one. I installed it myself, which was quite a challenge and very vehicle specific, but it turned out great.
Pros: 1. Alpine brand. It's the only overhead DVD player/monitor made by a top tier electronics company. 2. Clean design. There are interchangeable plastic trim pieces (silver/beige/black). 3. (Relatively) High resolution screen. 4. HDMI inputs (2). One internal and one external but that one can be "converted" to be internal for permanent HDMI connection. HDMI input allows for iPhone screen mirroring which is great since none have AirPlay.. 5. USB connections (2), one for power one for media
Cons: 1. Cheap dome light. Looks terrible. 2. Price. Costs 2 hundred more than the non-HDMI version (RSE3DVD) on MSRP and 3 hundred more since it can be found cheaper online, but the RSE3HDMI can only be found at full price.
