Nice, big, simple tv stand. Not sure where the high cost is hiding, but it is a solid unit (all MDF coated in a powder coat-like matte paint). As others have stated, the direction sheet is garbage, referencing steps that don't exist, and with pictures of hardware that has changed over the years. Luckily the design is really simple (top/bottom, 3 shelves, posts, 2 doors, 4 dividers). You could almost figure it out without directions, but for the price I would have expected complete info, good current part diagrams, (it is almost 2020, maybe even real pictures, something downloadable). I did have a damaged door in my order, looked like something may have been set on top of box and pushed out the metal insert. Insert was bent, and wood frame was busted out a bit (can see ridge in attached pic, frame should be all flat). Called, was told I could fix myself by. I politely mentioned that I could not fix the bent insert or the busted frame myself (sent more pics). I guess I am being sent a new insert to put in myself?!? Not sure why I can't just get a door that is not broken. Seems like with a premium (in price) product like this you wouldn't get the runaround with bad parts (-2 stars).
Pros: solid/simple design
Cons: expensive for non-premium materials and simple design, sketchy support if you happen to need it

The model 248 is an awesome piece of A/V furniture. I bought this specific model because it is one of only a few pieces of furniture that my Klipsch RP450C center channel will fit. And I also plan to upgrade my current Sony XBR 60" TV to a 77' Sony OLED which will fit nicely on this furniture. One word of caution however, this piece is shipped via LTL (tractor trailer). Two pieces (approximately 8 feet in length will arrive curbside weighing about 190 lbs). My driver was very helpful in assisting me in getting it into the garage. After you get it assembled you will not only have a sense of pride in it's sheer beauty but also a sense of accomplishment. This piece of furniture is well worth the investment. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because you will need to be somewhat mechanically inclined to assemble it. The Instruction manual is not very intuitive and lacks piece part description
Pros: Very welll built Great quality The last piece of AV furniture you'll need
Cons: Instructions are somewhat vague

Excellent product once you get it assembled. Very well designed and heavy duty. I gave it only 4 stars due to horrible instructions. The assembly instructions were vague and parts were not labeled or described very well. One could assemble this in an hour, but due to poor instructions, it took over 2 hours.

Shipping and packing express high quality. Build quality is excellent. Is moderate challenge to DIY assemble, but if you are handy and patient, it all makes sense and is fairly intuitive. The finished product is well worth the effort. This is AUDIOFILE quality AV furniture: you get what you pay for!
Pros: Capacity is awesome: both volume and weight.
