About the iSimple Gateway ISFD75

Play your music through your factory radio

Your iPod or iPhone is also your music storage device, with hours of tunes you've selected. But you couldn't play those tunes in your car...until now.  Just install this iSimple Gateway ISFD75 adapter — it not only allows you to listen to all your favorite tunes through your car's speakers, it even lets you control song and playlist selections right from your radio.

The ISFD75 features an 11-foot Apple 30-pin cable for direct connection from your Apple device to your car's factory radio, allowing you to use the radio's controls to browse your Apple device by Artist, Album, Genre, and Playlist. If you have a newer iPod/iPhone device with a Lightning connector, then you will also need Apple's Lightning to 30-pin adapter. And the GateWay isn't just an iPod adapter; the ISMD75 is equipped with a right-angle male 3.5mm stereo connector and a set of female stereo RCA jacks, allowing you to connect another audio source.

Note: You will need to disconnect the Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, or Mazda factory radio's harness and plug the iSimple Gateway's vehicle harness into the back of the factory radio. Your radio must have an external satellite radio tuner or SYNC for this adapter to work; you'll retain these features in compatible vehicles. Please refer to the "Details" tab for specific information.

Customer Q&A

Q
Crutchfield asked: Why did you buy this?
A
Needed a way to play music from our iPhone 6 to our 2006 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer Edition. [ Cory  Jun 28, 2016 ]

Q
will it work with android if i have a micro usb to 30 pin ipod adapter?
[ Diego  Apr 01, 2017 ]
1 answer
A
It comes with a cord that plugs directly into the headphone jack. I also have an Android, and it works great with my radio. You would only use the iPod adapter if you wanted to charge it at the same time.
[ JOHN M  Apr 02, 2017 ]
Q
will this device scroll the name of the song, if the titlle has many words?
[ C  Mar 21, 2016 ]
1 answer
A
The ISFD75 supports audio playback, browsing controls, information display, and charging of your Apple iPod/iPhone device through your factory radio. However it doesn't indicate the max number of characters it will display through your factory radio. You may want to try contacting iSimple's Support at 866-788-4237 to find out more information on that. I hope that helps.

Q
iSimple Gateway ISFD75 looks like the cable is for the older iPhones, can you get a cable for the iPhone 6 and do you have a solution for bluetooth for the 2007 ford 500?
[ Scott  Dec 07, 2015 ]
1 answer
A
I don't have an adapter or cable to use with this iSimple item to make it lightning port (the one found on an iPhone 6) compatible. We do have a Bluetooth solution for that vehicle. Our item number for it is 249BEEBF24.
