About the PAC LR475

"Speakers not connected!"

Are you trying to add an aftermarket amp or processor to a factory radio that freaks out when its speakers are disconnected? These load resistors from PAC may be the perfect solution. You simply wire each resistor to the positive and negative speaker wires of each channel coming out of the radio or into your aftermarket device. This will "fool" the radio into sensing speakers, and then playing normally. The package includes five resistors to cover systems with front and rear speakers plus a subwoofer.

Product Research

Load Resistor Pack: This five pack of 47-ohm/5-watt load resistors (LR475) is used when the factory installed amplifier or radio needs to see a speaker load to stay operational. These load resistors can beeasily wired to the outputs channels of the factory amplifier or radio and simulate the load of a speaker, so the audio output is retained.

Do these get hot? Where did mount yours?

They get warm, I haven't had any issues. If you have a newer Ram with the 8.4 uconnect and your using tgese to trick computer to send radio signal fir a loc or high level into amp (assuming neither have built in load/ohm resistors) tgese neex to get soldiered in line as close to the connection as possible. Take a look at audio controls website, look up the LGD load devices, they show a drawing of how to wire tgese in when there product doesn't show enough resistance. I just used ttese fir my ram alone with LC7i and its been working great for a year now. Awesome product
