Features

Radio Replacement Interface: The PAC RP3-GM13 interface allows aftermarket head unit replacement of the factory radio in select General Motors (GM) vehicles with a Class II databus and harness dock system. Using this interface will retain factory features such as the factory amplifier, retained accessory power (RAP), Warning Chimes, and steering wheel controls (additional adapter required).

Note: The PAC RP3-GM13 does not retain factory OnStar.

Vehicle Compatibility: The  The PAC RP3-GM13 is compatible with the following 2000-2005 GM vehicles featuring a Class II databus and harness dock factory system.

Make Model Year
Buick LeSabre 2000-2005
Oldsmobile Aurora 2001-2003
Pontiac Bonneville 2000-2005

Factory Amplified & Non-Amplified System Compatible: The PAC RP3-GM13 is compatible with Bose amplified and non-amplified factory audio systems. It will retain balance & fade control for factory Bose amplifiers (if applicable).

Retained Accessory Power (R.A.P.): The ignition power source of most GM vehicles keeps the radio on until one of the doors is opened. This feature is called the R.A.P. (retained accessory power). The PAC RP3-GM13 is designed to retain this feature.

Warning Chimes: The PAC RP3-GM13 radio replacement interface will retain your vehicle's important factory warning chimes.

Steering Wheel Controls: The PAC RP3-GM13 will retain your vehicle's factory steering wheel controls with the use of an aftermarket head unit with a SWC input and PAC's SWI-RC steering wheel control interface adapter (541SWIRC, sold separately).

Navigation Outputs: The PAC radio replacement interface provides a VSS (vehicle speed sense), Parking Brake, and a Reverse Gear output to make installing an aftermarket navigation radio simpler and less time consuming.

RadioPRO App: PAC offers a Windows compatible RadioPRO App software program to help you configure the interface.

Q
I installed it on Bonneville 05 with the steering wheel control SWI-CP2 but the buttons don't seem to work right. The CP2 manual said this GM13 has to be on firmware version 5. How do I know what version of the firmware I'm on?
[ TAWATOS  Jan 03, 2023 ]

A
We are always here to help, Tawatos. On the CP2 if you are having issues with button control, first try the manual programming mode. This starts on the lower part of page 2 in the install instructions. Set your dipswitches correctly for your Alpine iLX-650 radio (1 down, 2,3, and 4 up) then proceed through the manual map procedure on page 3. It's always a good idea to make sure the 3.5mm SWC plug is connected firmly as well to the Alpine radio. If you are still having issues after that, give our Technical Support agents a call at 1-888-292-2575, we provide lifetime Technical Support on every order and are always here to help!

Q
I have a 2003 Pontiac Bonneville SSEI with OnStar and a factory Momba amp. When the harness is plugged in to the new pioneer double din the double din itself and the door chime work but I have NO SOUND. How do I get the sound from the radio to work on the speakers instead of playing music without sound coming through?
[ Zakary  May 19, 2022 ]

A
I didn't think to ask if you had sound before the new head unit? If you haven't checked yet check the fuse box under the rear seat, driver side. The fuse for the amp is in there. It is one of the large maxi fuses (20a).
[ DUSTON  May 29, 2022 ]
A
First make sure your blue/white wire from you Pioneer is NOT connected to the blue wire on your harness. If that is not the case there will be a pink wire on the back of your factory harness. Jump a wire from your Pioneers blue/white to your factory pink wire.

I hooked up my harness and the radio screen is coming on but I have absolutely no sound?

Q
How do I know if my 05 Pontiac Bonneville has a factory Amp? It does have OnStar.
[ VANESSA  Mar 25, 2021 ]

A
There will be an amp in the trunk, on the driver's side, on the back of the seat behind the cover panel that will say Monsoon. It's takes up a good amount of space.
[ DUSTON  Mar 26, 2021 ]
A
From my research you can have OnStar without an amp. It seems that the determining factor is the optional Bose Stereo. No Bose, no amp from what i have found
