Add a USB input where you need it

Extend the rear USB port on your new car stereo to a convenient spot on your dash. Simply plug the male end of this PAC USBDMA6 USB cable extension into the USB port, then use the included dash mount to secure the female end wherever you need it.

For a clean installation

PAC gives you six feet of cable so you can route it through even the trickiest of dashes. The cable's female USB end provides a flush-mount design for permanent installation — simply drill a hole into the spot where you'd like to connect your USB devices, and snap in the end of the cable for a factory look. If you'd rather not drill a hole, just snap that end of the cable into the included mounting bracket, then place the bracket in a good place for quick access to your USB devices. Warranty: 1 year.

Purchased two of these cables for my truck and they work great with the new KENWOOD. There is no noticeable delay in the CarPlay feature. Instead of cutting a hole in panels I gutted the power outlets and installed the ports. I had to wrap some electrical tape around them to snug them up.

Joshua, Lompoc, Ca

What's in the Box:

  • 6' USB extension cable (with a male USB type-A connector on one end and a female USB type-A connector on other end)

Just right for adding to my dash. This requires drilling a hole in your dash or other preferred location then clips into place.

Perfect addition to Axxera Receiver

Dan from Raleigh, NC on 10/28/2018

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I installed an Axxera receiver in my 2010 Toyota Rav4 and found out that it didn't support Apple "Wireless" CarPlay, only wired. So I needed a USB extender to run a USB from my dash bin to the receiver. The folks at Crutchfield provided great support and I had this in and working in less than 15 minutes. Good quality and fit right into an empty slot in my dash (next to my traction control button). Great product.

Pros: Does exactly what it says it does. Cord is sturdy and long enough to snake through Rav4. Size of plug fits into existing empty Rav4 Dashboard slot.

Cons: Was slightly to fat to fit flush in the Rav4. Would be better in a rectangle factor than round.

Wish they they sold these that were not plastic. But it works! And looks factory. But I don't have hope that it will last long.

Pros: Factory look

Cons: Cheep plastic

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I have to say first that I am most impressed with working with Crutchfield and their customer support! Now to the review. This is a great USB cord, but I did not use it exactly as intended. I bought it on the chance that I could mount it in the OEM cigarette lighter socket on my 2011 F250. I figured I would have to modify it or the socket spot or both and perhaps use some epoxy to make it all work out. Nope. Click. It just fit right in. This allows a seamless OEM look and I am very happy with the results. This cord is data and power compatible with iPhones. I used it to connect to a replacement aftermarket head unit.

The product worked but took some ingenuity to make it work in my car. It was smaller than my cigarette lighter hole. I ended up taking the metal part of the lighter port out of the plastic holder then the usb slid into the holder and I glued them together. Now it looks OEM.

Pros: Worked

Makes a nice factory looking install and keeps cord clutter from happening.

Match's Chevy Gray interior

Crutchfield customer from Lakewood, CO on 4/2/2018

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I hard wired one to the OEM cigarette lighter in my truck and another one to the glove box, to a 2nd phone or a thumb drive with music. The gray match's my Chevy truck dash gray almost perfectly. I have to use some epoxy putty to hold it into the lighter hole, when you pull your USB cable out, it drags the plug out of the dash, but I can fix that with some tweaking.

Clean, permanent, factory look

JP from Potomac, MD on 1/21/2018

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Installed in my 2007 Suburban along with Sony XAV-AX100 as an upgrade to the USB cord provided with the head unit. No regrets buying this for clean ,permanent Android Auto plug-in and factory look. Drilled a hole in the plastic tray directly under the stereo/climate controls in the dash console. I didn't use the included dash mount, because the plug receptacle has tabs that hold the plug firmly in the hole. Brady, my Crutchfield adviser suggested adding this to my purchase. He explained that the USB cord supplied with the Sony unit doesn't have the fitting or mount that would allow a thru-panel installation for a permanent, factory fit.

Pros: Clean, permanent, factory look. Eliminates loose USB cord & clutter

Cons: None

Versatile usb cable

Alan from Arlington, TX on 1/5/2018

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This cable is heavy duty and allows for two different types of mounting: on the supplied external bracket, or snapped into a hole in the dashboard. The extension cable that came with my Sony head unit did not have any kind of mounting, it was just a bare usb plug end. I had to use this PAC cable instead to let me attach it to something.

Pros: heavy duty two mounting types

Cons: none

3 questions already asked

Yes, in fact it was recommended to me by Crutchfield along with my Sony Android Auto-equipped head unit. I too, recommend it for the following reasons: Unlike a USB extension where the plug-in outlet dangles or moves around, this offers a more permanent, built-in appearance. The included mount is generally used for an under-dash or stand-alone installation. I didn't use it however. I drilled a hole in the plastic area in the console under the heater controls (Chevy Suburban) and the plug snapped in. Looks like factory. My Android conveniently plugs in to the port (necessary to run Android Auto) and it sits in the center console 'bin', out of the way. The gauge of the cord more than meets the requirements of the head unit for data transmission and proper communication between the head unit and the Android. This is also compatible with Apple CarPlay and works well when an iPhone is plugged into a CarPlay-equipped head unit. [ JOHN  Oct 15, 2018 ]
That one is too small for the cigarette lighter hole. I also ordered accelerated USBRHDMI cable and it fit the Cigarette lighter hole perfectly after all of the lighter casing is removed. $ 29.99. It is a USB/HDMI with separate connectors into the back of the radio. The Crutchfield item number is 074USBHDMI Hope this helps! [ Charles  Aug 30, 2018 ]
I installed mine on a 2007 tundra and while it holds static, it'll pop out when I pull on the usb charging cable. Nothing a little super glue can't fix, but mine didn't hold on it's own. [ Jeremiah  Aug 30, 2018 ]
First I use Apple play and it works fine, looking at the sony site, they give full support on this device to Android Auto, the only help I can give is to have you check this web site: OK, I can not link to other sites but try to google support androidauto answer This web site is "Set up your Android Auto app" it should have the details you need Mike [ MICHAEL J  Dec 28, 2017 ]
