Features
Design: The Russound AW70V6 indoor/outdoor speakers are designed and built to provide excellent music and voice reproduction for both commercial and residential installations. The AW70V6 2-way speakers include a built-in transformer with tap settings for 70V, 100V, and 6Ω operation.
Drivers: The AW70V6 speakers feature 6-1/2" injection-molded polypropylene (IMPP) woofers, with rubber surrounds, and 1" Titanium dome tweeters.
Enclosures: The AW70V6 speakers are housed in rugged, durable enclosures that are designed for even the most extreme outdoor environments. Their aesthetic design lets them blend well with indoor decor as well as outdoors.
Terminals: Each speaker has a single pair of 5-way posts that can accept banana connectors, pin connectors, or speaker wire up to 12-gauge in size. When using the AW70V6 speakers in a low-impedance (6Ω) configuration, Russound recommends that you use 16 gauge speaker wire for runs up to 100 feet, 14 gauge up to 150 feet, and 12 gauge up to 200 feet.
70V/100V: A tap dial, recessed in the rear panel, provides the following settings:
- 70V: 7.5W, 15W, 30W, 60W
- 100V: 15W, 30W, 60W
- 6Ω: Bypass
Grilles: The Russound AW70V6 speakers feature powder-coated aluminum grilles. The non-removable grilles are corrosion-resistant to give you years of service in any kind of weather.
Installation Options: The AW70V6 speakers include U-brackets that allow the speakers to be installed horizontally or vertically to a wall or mounting surface, and can provide approximately 180° of swivel, either left/right or up/down depending on the mounting orientation. The mounting brackets are powder-coated for maximum outdoor longevity. The speaker's tapered rear panel allows it to be mounted in corners for a low-profile installation. Two 1/4"-20 threaded brass inserts on the rear of the speakers lets you use a wide variety of 3rd party mounting brackets (sold separately) if desired. Molded feet on the bottom of each speaker allows them to be placed on a shelf or pedestal (sold separately).
