After a lot of effort trying different frequency settings, I could not get this to work reliably across my condo. Occational dropouts and interference, no matter what frequenct range I tried. Crutchfield advisor suggested I not be deterred by some of the negative reviews, but I should have. AirPlay, in comparison, works much better. With buffering and 44.1kHz streaming audio, it offers a more reliable albeit different alternative. I wish Russound had implemented Airplay with this product, if they did I bet it would still be in their product lineup.
Cons: Dropouts and interference

ZERO issues with this product. I selected the 5 .7 GHz band, since our home WiFi operates on 2 .4 GHz and our wireless phones operate on 5 .8 GHz. I've had no drop-outs, and the audio quality is exceptional.
Pros: Easy to install, "plug and play" once you select the operating band on both transmitter and receiver (or accept the default setting).
Cons: Does not seem to support 192 Kbps digital streaming.
