By far my favorite subs for shallow mounts. Bass is deep and hit hard.

Awesome speaker. Good amount of sound for a shallow mount. Not too loud in my GTI either which is what I was scared of.

Great sub

This replaced the prime shallow sub I had in a factory built RF enclosure. It is a night and day difference.

Obviously this isn't going to rattle the windows on your house when you drive by but it still hits very hard considering that its a shallow mount sub. I needed something that would fit in an extremely small space and this does so perfectly, but if you have the space, get a normal sized sub. Mine is getting 400 RMS from a Kenwood Excelon XR900-5 and its loud enough that I sometimes often have to turn it down on songs with heavy bass. Even on lower settings it'll still make your mirrors shake.

Pros: - Hits hard for a shallow mount, good quality sound - Shallow mount, can fit in small spaces - Seems to be well built, solid - Price - Clean look - Easy to install -- comes with all hardware + drill bit

Cons: - Wish it would come with the grille rather than forcing you to pay $20 extra to get one - Don't expect to be winning any bass competitions

Good Sub !

Let me start by saying i went through many subs to get what i finally wanted , first i bought 2 kicker comp 10's and pre fab truck boxes and they just didnt cut it , so i went up to some kicker cvt shallow mounts and put 450 watts to each of them and they hit hard just didnt have any low end at all , then i built a box and gave them some more room and they improved a little but still wasnt right , and this is in my 85 chevy truck so not much room , in my 86 mustang i have 3 mtx 12's and they hit hard and low and i was looking for that tho i knew with very little room i wouldnt get the same sound , so i bought a set of these and put them in that same box i built for the 10's and i have to say i finally found what i was looking for deep and punchy bass , i listen to a lot of rock and some rap every now and then and these play both very nice , i have a Kenwood Kac-9105D running them @ 2 ohms and they really sound great together , but what people dont realize is the size and build of the box makes a whole lot of difference , the box i built i was able to get 1 cubic ft to each sub , if i was to put them in say a .5 cf box they would not sound near as good im sure , the 2 kicker cvt 10's i bought were in factory kicker boxes that were insanely small like .3 cf and the sub states that it needs like .8 at least or something so they did sound pretty good when i put them in the box o made but being 10's they just couldnt handle the lows at all ,these do very well !!!

Pros: Sound ,freq , build

Cons: I dont really care for the cone on these but who looks at them behind my seat lol

Put two of these in a custom sealed box at 1cubic foot of air space in a 2005 regular cab ford ranger hit so hard you could barely see driving I was so impressed so much bass could come from such a small package had them wired into a 1 ohm load with 1000 watts rms on them I know there only rated for 400 rms but after I broke them in they handled every bit of 1k also you have no idea how many people wanted to know where my subs where hiding... if I ever needed a sub for a small location or enclosure there is no doubt I would by these bad boys

If you are looking for heavy base this is not a good buy. Good if you just want some good quality quiet bass.
