It works fine but the front cover under the knob pops off rather easily. Super glue fixes that issue The older punch controllers were much better constructed but if you want a remote control this is your only option. The LEDs are a nice addition but they're rather bright at night.

Easy to install for the most part. Just takes a little time routing the cable. Nice to have bass control close by.
Pros: Optional mounting options. Clipping indicator light.

PLC2, worth the money

Easy to install and run remote cable. Does exactly what it says it will do. Love having it close to my hand on the dash and not having to fiddle with the gains on the amp.
Pros: Fairly small. Optional mounting methods. Came with everything needed to mount and connect. Clipping indicator light.
Cons: For what it is, my opinion is it's too pricey. I think $25-$30 is the price point for this item, but I bought it anyway, so what does that say for me? Instructions were okay, but could have been a little clearer if mounting it the optional method. Not sure why this doesn't come standard w/ the amp.

Easybto install and works awesome. As I listen to Christian metal and rock the bass can differ from one album to the next, this is a huge necessity.

Perfect for controlling the level of bass for the mood your in! I have it connected to a RF P1000x1bd amp. Love the blue light and how it identifies clipping with a red light when music gets played too loud from your head unit. This is a must that I wouldn't go without.

I had a Skar bass knob and amp before this and the bass knob was NOT accurate at all. You would turn it up and the bass would get louder up until the middle of the bass knob and wouldn't get very much louder at max bass knob volume. with the plc 2, it has a much smoother turn and turns the bass up more evenly.
Pros: thick cord and enough of it to fit in almost any car.
Cons: Not a wireless remote like the kicker kx amps but still a good bass knob.

I was expecting to be able to dial this gain control knob up and down to control bass. When I try to dial it back, the sound stays distorted only at a lower volume level. It really does not do me any good at all

I bought this to go with my new P1000x5 fosgate amp, Kenwood head unit, and Kicker components for the front, 6x9's on the back deck, and a 12"P3d2 sub in a handmade sealed box in the trunk of my 2010 Toyota Corolla. My little car rocks, this control allows me to increase the bass from mild to OMG.. I disassembled the controller and did a custom install for it and the separate LED to make it look stock in a couple unused switch blanks on my dash. If you have a fosgate amp and want to be able to rock the streets then this is a must have. Here's a shot of how it turned out.

I ordered this with my Rockford Fosgate P300X1. I was able to remove the plastic housing and install it on on control panel. This is a must have with any Rockford Fosgate amp!

Rockford Fosgate PLC2 Amp Remote Control
Purchased to use with a new RF 1000X5 amp. Outside of a pretty blue light I can find no functionality for it. The adjustment from min to max do nothing. The light did show clipping during set up by turning red as stated. But that's about all. Maybe there is a problem with the PLC2 or the amp which has been nothing but a problem since I purchased it.

The Rockford Fosgate PLC2 Amp Remote Control is a must have addition to a compatable Rockford Fosgate amplifier. Easy to install, makes changing power level very convenient and has a LED to notify you if the signal is clean or clipping. I listen to all sorts of music and without this device I would need to spend time adjusting sound levels through my receiver or make manual adjustments at my Rockford Fosgate amplifier. If you purchase a Rockford Fosgate amplifier you should purchase one of these!!

Cons: Not crazy about mounting bracket. I do not use the supplied bracket
