Better components give you better detail

Each 5-1/4" speaker sports a stiff polypropylene woofer cone that delivers strong drums and bass, along with clean reproduction of the midrange frequencies. Rockford Fosgate mounts the silk dome tweeter flush with the woofer so it'll fit in more vehicles while adding the excitement of strong high-frequency response. The built-in crossover network divides the frequencies going to each driver, so all your music plays faithfully. Grilles are included.

Q
Does this fit on the front doors of a 1994 Honda Accord Lx?
[ Jacob  Aug 26, 2019 ]
1 answer
A
There is a tool on this site to choose the make and model of your vehicle, and then it will tell you if it is compatible. If by chance that does not work or another issue arises, I would directly contact an employee from crutchfield.

Are they made in America? Just wondering but I bought some anyway
[ James  Jun 01, 2019 ]

A
Judging from the price, I would not assume they were made in U.S.A. but it's possible they were made in America.... meaning possibly Mexico or Costa Rica.

Q
My jvc deck says 50 watt output. Does that mean 50 per speaker? My current speakers distort around 75% volume, and I want to be able to get the rest of that power. Will these speakers work?
[ Zeb  May 02, 2019 ]
1 answer
A
Yes that is 50 watts peak power x 4 channels - or 50 watts per speaker. It is more like 22 watts RMS (constant power). Those Rockford Fosgate Prime speakers would be a good match at 2-40 watts RMS power handling. You can connect with one of our friendly product advisors here to see if we have any installation gear to help put them in your vehicle: https://bit.ly/2qPH8aN

Q
I have a 1986 Nissan 300ZX Base. Will the existing speaker wire have to be replaced to support these speakers?
[ David  Mar 29, 2019 ]
2 answers
A
If you are just upgrading the stock speakers you shouldn't need to replace any speaker wire - often times we even have speaker harnesses to make the installation even easier. If you add a new amp or increase the power dramatically that's when you would need to upgrade to heavier gauge wire. If you have any other questions you can always connect with one of our friendly Product Advisors for personalized advice here: https://bit.ly/2QNxGQB

Do you mean to support a higher wattage grin an amp or head unit? Likely not, but the speakers I've gotten from Crutchfield, came with the speaker plug top match the factory wiring

Q
It says pair in paranthesis so i was wondering does it come with 2 speakers per quantity meaning i would need a quantity of 2 to get all 4 speakers for the doors and rear deck? Making it like an $80 investment for all 4 or if i need to pay $160 for all 4
[ AnnaBelle  Oct 20, 2018 ]
4 answers
A
39.99 for the pair, so you full investment to have the four will be 80, but well worth the money.
[ Norman  Oct 26, 2018 ]
A
It comes in pairs meaning if you want 4 speakers total, order a quantity of 2
[ Christopher  Oct 25, 2018 ]
A
It is 2 speakers per quanity yes. So you'll need to order 2 quanity. It should be around $80+.
[ Zachary  Oct 25, 2018 ]
A
Well it come in set of 2's for left side and right side per box.So, if you're doing all doors then you will need to buy 2 boxes.

Q
Does any know the cone diameter on these? Looking to rear mount them in custom wood boombox. The cuts are 4.71". Thanks.
[ GOC4U  Dec 23, 2017 ]
1 answer
A
I don't know the cone diameter, but I do know that Rockford Fosgate does list these speakers as needing a 4.696" cutout for both top and rear mount. Given you have 4.71"I would expect these to work for you. HTH! My Bio: http://www.crutchfield.com/Support/Bio.aspx?bio=101

Thanks for your question. The depth you mentioned is correct from the screw holes down as a top mount. Overall height from top to bottom is 2.079". Hope this helps.

Q
Are they water resistant?
[ Chris  Apr 05, 2017 ]
1 answer
A
Take this with a grain of salt, I'm just a customer, but they handled last winter in Seattle really well (The wettest on record), where there was mold and mildew (and some level of raindrops) on everything, though they are not specifically marine speakers. If you need something specifically splash-able, think about something marine specific, Polk Audio makes some DB650's that kick.. Not sure what your fitting requirements are.. https://www.crutchfield.com/S-nm8KHgbC9sL/p_107DB650/Polk-Audio-db650.html

Q
Do I need anything else besides the installation kit?
[ Mitch  Jan 17, 2016 ]
1 answer
A
This will depend largely on your vehicle. For details on installation please contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and give you the details on what you will need for an installation.

Q
Does this come with bracket?
[ Rj  Jan 13, 2016 ]
1 answer
A
If your referring to the mounting bracket it does. As long as you have entered your vehicle into "what fits my car" the correct mounting bracket will be included. Make sure the "it fits" is next to the speaker you've selected.
[ CLINT  Jan 15, 2016 ]
Q
I wonder if my car could take so much power from this speakers, if the player could take it. Is it worth it from the original system?
[ Andreas  Jan 06, 2014 ]

A
I installed my pair with a standard Sony receiver on my harley Davidson Electra Glide. At 50 mph I have to turn the radio up and I still get an awesome sound from these speakers, (Rockford Fosgate Prime R1525X2) I highly recommend them with a stock or aftermarket system
[ DONALD  Jan 08, 2014 ]
A
I don't quite understand your questions, but I'll say the following, as long as you have space for a 5 1/4" speaker, and your radio has enough power, they should sound OK. They do not reproduce much bass, so I use them in my front doors as mid-range speakers, since I have a powered sub-woofer in the rear to handle the heavy bass. Hope this helps out.
[ VICTOR  Jan 07, 2014 ]
A
Pretty good sound from these speakers. Idk if your stock ones are premium but if not these will be better. These won't effect your head unit, they will use whatever amperage its putting out.
[ CHAD  Jan 07, 2014 ]
A
Upgrading your factory speakers is always my first step. Even if you don't have a factory amp ie Bose or any other type of "upgraded" factory system. The sound quality over paper speakers is so much better. However if your factory head unit doesn't have enough RMS power to push these you may not get the full flavor sound your looking for. But I have these with my factory head unit and they sound great. So there are a ton of variables when it comes to car-fi. But it's up to you. But to answer your question Yes they are worth it
[ MATTHEW  Jan 06, 2014 ]
A
My personal experience with these speakers is a great one. They sound so much better than the original ones that were in my truck. The sound is crisp and clear even at high volume. They also sound great accompanied by a pair of subs. I would say they are worth the investment.
