About the Rockford Fosgate RFK8i

Buck Pomerantz

This wiring kit does not include speaker wire, so you'll need to purchase that separately to complete your amp installation. This kit includes patch cables for a 2-channel or mono amp — you'll need to add cables for multi-channel amps.

Your amp needs big power wires in order to deliver top performance to your sound system. Rockford Fosgate's RFK8i amplifier power and signal wiring kit supplies everything you'll need to send power and input signals to amplifiers with fuse ratings of up to 60 amperes. Rockford Fosgate makes the 8-gauge cable from 100% pure crystal-oxygen free copper wire so you can count on maximum signal transfer.

A
No. This would not be advisable. This cable is only designed to carry line-level signal.

Q
Does this have the wires to connect to 2 subwoofers or do I need to purchase another set of cables?
[ ANTHONY  Mar 21, 2021 ]
1 answer
A
This amp kit does not come with speaker wire which would is used to connect subwoofers to an amp. Typically, 12 gauge speaker wire is best for that: https://www.crutchfield.com/g_50600/Car-Speaker-Wire.html?tp=2917#&nvpair=FFGauge|12-gauge

Make sure your sub is hooked up to your amp and the gain is on, second make sure your RCA cables are all attached and if you have a aftermarket radio sometimes the output of subwoofer is turned off from factory so make sure your SW signal is turned on within the CD player

Q
Are the power wire/s long enough to mount amp in 3rd row seat side storage of 2008 Sienna?
[ J  Aug 06, 2017 ]

A
Yes the power wire and remote turn on wire should be long enough for that mounting position

Hey JC; I'm going to say "probably not" to that if you're running completely hidden. I used this kit for trunk mounting in a '99 Beetle routing it properly hidden under and behind panels. I had a bit over 12" to spare. Routing it hidden eats up cable very quickly. Hope this helps. John W.
