About the Jaybird RUN XT
Waterproof — and no wires
The 100% wire-free Jaybird RUN XT earbuds are designed to fit securely and stay put while you work out.
Waterproof — and no wires
When I picked my favorite true wireless earbuds for 2019, I named the Jaybird RUN XT headphones the "best for running and workouts." Jaybird designs headphones for serious fitness nuts, and they've upped the ante even further with these second-generation RUN XT 'phones. Both earbuds sport a protective IPX7-rated waterproof coating. That means these 100% wire-free in-ears can handle your most grueling, sweat-filled workouts — in all types of weather.
Jaybird's signature secure in-ear fit
What's the number one thing runners want out of a pair of sports headphones? They MUST stay in place as you move — especially when there's no cable connecting the two earbuds. Jaybird's team of designers is made up of runners and outdoorsy people, so they know the drill. The company's signature "fins" keep these Bluetooth in-ear 'phones secure, so they won't slip around while you work out.
Adjust the sound and find lost earbuds with the MySound app
Many headphones these days have an accompanying app for your phone or mobile device. But I don't consider all of them necessary. I definitely recommend downloading the Jaybird MySound app to your iPhone® or Android™ device, if you purchase these headphones.
It makes the pairing process much easier, and allows you to adjust the sound of the RUN XT earbuds. You can choose from existing audio profiles or dial in the EQ yourself. And if you happen to misplace or drop one of the earbuds? The MySound app has a "Find my Buds" feature that will track them down using your phone's GPS.

Jaybird RUN XT reviews
Great headphones. They seem to fit snugly and secure in my ears and do not seem as though they are going to fall out easily. Sound quality is on par with other headphones in this price range, Jaybirds app works seamlessly. Only down side is their is a delay do to the nature of these, video playback is definitely not recommended. Their is a huge audio delay.
Pros: Good sound good fit
Cons: Audio delay

Overview: The Jaybird Run XT True Wireless Sport Headphones give you the freedom to run, walk, workout, or just listen to music without having to worry about wires. Run XT earbuds are two totally separate units that fit into your ears securely and comfortably with no connecting cables between them. The headphones come with a hard shell charging case, a USB charging cable, four pairs of ear tips, and four pairs of ear fins. The earbuds weigh approximately 0.3 ounces each (with tips and fins).
Inspired by Athletes: Jaybird Run XT Sport Headphones are designed and built for runners, bikers, climbers, skiers, snowboarders, and other athletes. As athletes themselves, the designers know how much listening to their favorite music enhances their performance. They also realized that in-ear headphones with long dangling wires were a distraction because they were always getting snagged. Their goal was to create a truly wireless, secure-fitting sport headphone that would withstand bad weather and sweat. Now, Jaybird True Wireless headphones are totally sweat and waterproof with an IPX7 rating for better reliability in adverse conditions.
Note: Run XT is not recommended for swimming, showering, or exposure to pool or ocean water.
Operation: The Jaybird Run XT earbuds connect to your mobile device via Bluetooth (Version 4.1), with Handsfree, Headset, A2DP, AVCRP, and SPP profiles. The right earbud is the master, and connects wirelessly to your device and to the left ear bud. Multi-function buttons on the right and left ear buds offer basic functions, such as power on/off, pairing, play/pause, accept/end call, skip forward, decline a call, and activate Siri or Google assistant. The functions can be customized on the Jaybird MySound App, if desired.
Note: For best results, you should carry your Bluetooth device on your right side (armband, belt clip, pocket).
Fit: The Run XT ear buds come with multiple sizes of ear tips and ear fins so you can find the perfect combination for comfort and fit. Two sizes (small, medium) of round silicone ear tips and two sizes (small, medium) of oval-shaped silicone ear tips are included. The right selection of ear tips will provide the proper seal inside the ear canal which enhances the sound of your music while blocking unwanted external noise. In addition, there are four sizes (labeled 1, 2, 3, and 4 according to the length) of ear fins to help keep the ear buds securely in your ears. The proper fit gives you hours of comfort that makes you forget you're wearing them.
Note: If you want to stay more in tune with your surroundings, you can use only the right ear bud.
Power: The Jaybird Run XT True Wireless Sport Headphones are powered by rechargeable batteries that provide over 4 hours of play time on a full charge. The buds start charging each time you place them into the hard shell charging case and close the lid. When exhausted, the ear buds fully charge in approximately 2 hours. A 5-minute quick charge will provide up to 1 hour of play time. To save battery power, the ear buds turn off automatically after 30 minutes of non-use. The charging case contains its own rechargeable battery which gives you two additional recharge cycles, or 8 hours of additional play time. The charging case takes approximately 3 hours to fully charge via the included USB charging cable. LEDs on the charging case and each bud allow you to check the charge status.
Jaybird MySound App: The Jaybird MySound app allows you to customize the EQ settings of your Run XT headphones, and helps you to find new music for your workout. You can choose from customized presets created by the Jaybird design team, and by many of the Jaybird athletes. Sound profiles from other app users are also available to try out, or you can create and share your own custom EQ settings. A Running Music feature lets you listen to and save music playlists from other users, and share your own Spotify playlists. The Jaybird MySound app also lets you adjust the functionality of the multi-function buttons on your Run XT headphones, and keep them up-to-date with firmware updates when they become available. If you lose your ear buds, a Find Your Buds feature helps you to locate them again. The Jaybird MySound app is compatible with iOS (11.0 or later) and Android (5.0 and up) devices, as well and Mac and Windows.
