About the DLO TransPodFM™

To enjoy your iPod while driving, you basically need three things — a way to play your iPod through your car's system, something to hold the iPod securely, and a power supply for your iPod. Minimize clutter and wire tangle with the all-in-one TransPodFM™ from Digital Lifestyle Outfitters. The heart of the system is the base dock, which can hold either an iPod, or an iPod mini. The dock's built-in FM band transmitter lets you tune in your iPod's music through your car's FM receiver. The dock has an LCD display, so you can easily see what frequency the dock is tuned to. It even has four presets for the most commonly available channels (88.1, 94.1, 100.1 and 106.1).

The TransPodFM mounts directly into your car's cigarette lighter, so your iPod charges while you drive. Included are a variety of lighter mounting sleeves, and extension arms so you can securely connect the dock and angle it properly in just about any vehicle.

The dock's minijack line output gives you lots of options for connecting your iPod to your car stereo: in addition to the built-in FM transmitter, you can use a cassette adapter, or even make a direct connection to a receiver with an auxiliary input. If you prefer a more permanent installation, the TransPodFM comes with the necessary hardware so you can mount the dock onto your dashboard.

Features

Overview: The TransPodFM by DLO (Digital Lifestyle Outfitters) is an all-in-one system that will allow you to play, mount, and power any one of the iPod players in your vehicle. It eliminates much of the wiring and plugs directly into the vehicle's cigarette lighter - which will charge your iPod during use. Since it has a built-in digital wireless FM transmitter, this product will allow you to choose any un-used FM frequency and listen to your iPod player through that frequency. There is a backlight LCD display at the bottom of the dock that will display the FM frequency (this needs to match the frequency you choose on the radio).  There is also an auxiliary mini-jack output on the base, which will allow you to use headphones, a cassette adapter, or an auxiliary input on your radio. It also comes with an assortment of mounting adapters, for permanent or temporary mounting, so that you can mount your iPod where it is most convenient for you. The unit comes with a plastic adapter for the iPod Mini's, as well as protection pads for the larger units.

Built-in Digital Wireless FM Transmitter: This unit has a built-in digital wireless FM transmitter that broadcasts to any FM frequency on your radio. You can use the tuning arrows on the side of the dock to change the broadcast FM frequency that the TransPodFM uses. There are also preset frequencies that are built-in, which are: 88.1, 94.1, 100.1, and 106.1 FM. You will use the volume control on your radio to control volume. Tonal controls on both the radio and the iPod can be used.

Auxiliary Output: The TransPodFM gives you a mini-jack auxiliary output on the left side of the base dock, so that you can hook up a set of headphones, use a cassette adapter, or plug into an auxiliary input on your radio.
