Sonos Arc Wall Mount

I was able to drill a 1" diameter hole in the wall at the center of the Arc wall mount (where the frame is narrow) and a corresponding hole for cables behind the TV so no cables are visible. But I was lucky to have a power outlet on the other side of the wall the Arc and TV are mounted on, so power cords could go through the wall to the other room and HDMI goes up through the wall and back out behind the TV.

I put them inside the wall. Poked a hole behind mounting bracket and pulled out behind TV

I installed it under my TV as recommended and the mounting bracket is not visible from any angle.

I have a black Arc, but I don't think the Mount will be visible with a white one. You could always spray paint or so. Hope this helps.

If you plan on taking advantage the Arc's Dolby Atmos functionality (assuming your TV has an eARC HDMI port), mounting from above may be suboptimal. Conventional surround formats (such as Dolby Digital 5.1) are mixed and mastered to replicate the soundstage as realistically as possible-typically by sending directional elements of the soundtrack to 5 or more circumferentially-placed speaker channels (plus low frequencies parsed to a sub, as in "5.1"). This has historically allowed the viewer to experience nifty effects, such as a helicopter flying from one side of the screen to another, synchronized with the visuals. Atmos is a substantial leap further in immersing the listener in a multidimensional sound field. Unlike the limited speaker-based surround formats mentioned previously, Atmos is an object-based surround format that takes advantage of the way specific sound frequencies bounce off of walls and ceilings. Each sound element (voice, effect, instrument) is assigned to one or more of 128 discrete spatial locations orbiting your listening area. This means that sounds are essentially omnidirectional; that helicopter can now not only fly from side-to-side but sound nearer or closer, above or below. To employ Atmos in theaters, ceiling-mounted speakers are required to accommodate all those 128 sources. To accomplish Atmos at home, Sonos equipped the Arc with eARC inputs (to handle bandwidth) plus 11 woofers and tweeters positioned to fire up, down and laterally, in addition to the front left, right and center "channels" carried over from the Playbar's Dolby 5.1 surround format. So if you install the Arc above the TV, it'll play fine-but the soundstage may deviate significantly from what was intended. TruePlay may compensate for this somewhat, and I would definitely perform that carefully! And I'll admit that I'm obviously a bit obsessive about this stuff-there are lots of folks who may not notice a thing :). The Arc sounds fantastic, enjoy...

I just did the install below the tv but no reason it wouldn't work above the tv either. Looks great on the wall and sounds great as well. It's a great compliment to my existing Sonos setup.

My Arc is mounted below my TV, but there is a process of "tuning" your room with your smart phone during set up, so I don't see how it would be a problem.

Instructions recommended to mount below tv due to sound. Mine sounds very good. Came with good template to assist measuring. The mount is very good. If possible place below tv. I had to place my LG sound bar on shelf above other tv which sounded good but internal speakers were set up different in device.
