Features

HDMI-to-Optical Digital Adapter: If your TV does not have a HDMI ARC input, but does have an optical (toslink) digital output, this HDMI-to-optical digital adapter can be used to get sound from your TV to a Sonos Amp, Sonos Beam, and other soundbars that only feature an HDMI ARC jack. This adapter will still support 5.1ch Dolby Digital and 2ch PCM.

Q
Will this improve the Line in sound of a CD player(Integra cdc3.4)connected to the new Sonos Amp currently connected with the rca connection? In other words will it improve the sample/bit rate connection via rca in to the Sonos Amp seems to make for a loss of detail

Hi Ty, thank you for your question! Unfortunately, using this HDMI to Optical Adapter wouldn't be your best course of action. However, adding a DAC, like the Cambridge Audio DacMagic 100 to your system would provide you with the improved sound quality, and make up for the loss of detail you are experiencing. Chat with us online or by phone at 1-800-324-9695, any of our amazing team of Advisors will be happy to go over your options!
