About the TomTom GO 600
TomTom's GO 600 navigator takes you further
TomTom's GO 600 navigator takes you further
The GO 600 portable navigator from TomTom can help you find your way about town or around the country accurately and reliably. It features a beautiful 6" display with pinch-to-zoom touchscreen control, plus a suite of extra features including optional voice control, map updates at no additional cost, and real-time traffic reports. With this handy travel companion on your dash or windshield, you can embark without worry.
Six-inch screen and 3D maps
The GO 600's capacitive 6" touchscreen display works like your smartphone or tablet — simply pinch-to-zoom to get a better view of the maps, or swipe to go to the next menu. And the maps will cover you in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. And in select locations, you'll get a realistic 3D view of buildings and other landmarks to help get your bearings. Looking for a place to eat or sleep? You'll have access to millions of points of interest. TomTom's advanced lane guidance gets you in the right lane for your next turn, so you won't miss anything at the last second.
When you type in a destination address or point of interest, the GO 600 saves you time by immediately suggesting popular results as you fill in letters. You can see all possible destinations in a list or view them on a map.
The GO 600 gives you the option of engaging voice commands, but you need to activate it for each command. You can use it to search for a nearby point of interest or enter a street address for a destination.
TomTom MyDrive services for better trip planning
TomTom's MyDrive platform helps you keep the information flowing smoothly to your GO 600. You can download the MyDrive app to your smartphone, or set up an account online via TomTom's website. Once your account is active, you'll be able to send destinations and points of interest from your computer or smartphone directly to your navigator, saving you from having to look them up when you're in your car.
Free lifetime traffic updates in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico
You can access TomTom's traffic reports using MyDrive on your computer, tablet, or smartphone, so you can see how bad traffic is along your route before you even start your trip. To get traffic updates on your GO 600, simply download the MyDrive app to your smartphone (iPhone® and Android™ only), then pair your phone to the navigator using Bluetooth. You'll have rapid updates — including predictive traffic based on historic patterns — right on your navigator's screen. And you won't have to pay anything extra for these reports, although data charges may apply, depending on your phone carrier.
Keep your maps current and share with others
You can keep your maps updated through TomTom's site for as long as you own the GO 600. You can also keep up-to-date with road changes through Map Share, a feature which gives you dynamic updates like new speed limits, blocked roads, and recent detours. And if you register these changes on your device as you come across them, you can share them with other TomTom users across the country.
3 free months of camera alerts
Your TomTom GO 600 purchase gives you three free months' access to TomTom's camera alert system, available through the MyDrive app. You'll get warnings when you approach fixed and mobile speed camera locations and known hotspots, plus red light cameras and speed enforcement areas. The warnings appear on the map screen and the navigator delivers an audible alert as well. You can even mark new cameras and hotspots along your route and share them with other TomTom users. After your 3-month trial ends, you may purchase more access through the app or your MyDrive account.

Overview: The TomTom GO 600 is a portable navigation device with a 6" capacitive-touch screen. It contains preloaded maps of the United States, Canada, and Mexico on its built-in 8 GB memory. The GO 600 is fully interactive through Lifetime TomTom Services. You can connect the device to your smartphone via Bluetooth and receive real-time traffic, lifetime map updates, and 3 months of safety camera locations. The GO 600 has advanced navigation features such as 3D maps, advanced lane guidance, and voice control.
Click & Go Mount: The GO 600 comes with the Click & Go mount with a powered magnetic dock and a powerful suction cup mount. The dock has a multi-pin connector that fits into the bottom of the device and a magnet on the back that holds the unit securely. You can mount the unit on the windshield (using the suction cup), or flip it over and mount it on the dash (using the supplied adhesive disk). The dock's ball joint can rotate for the proper orientation and swivel to give you the best angle.
Note: The maps have a fixed horizontal orientation.
Lifetime Map Updates: With the Lifetime Map Updates subscription, you can download up to four map data updates per year from the TomTom website. These map updates apply to maps of the USA, Canada, and Mexico. If a newer map update is available when you purchase the unit, you can download one complimentary update within 30 days from the time of first use. You must first register your device and create a TomTom account.
6" Capacitive-touch LCD: The GO 600 features a large 6" widescreen capacitive-touch LCD screen with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The screen responds similarly to today's smartphones and tablets, allowing you to pinch to zoom in or out, and swipe to move map around.
Rechargeable Battery: The unit has an internal Lithium-ion battery. A fully charged battery offers approximately 2 hours of operation when not plugged into the vehicle's power source. The GO 600 comes with a car charger and a 5' USB power cord. With the USB power cord, you can also charge the unit while connected to your computer.
TomTom MyDrive: TomTom MyDrive is a smartphone app that works with your GO 600 to give you the most up-to-date information about traffic along your route. Not only do you receive up-to-the-minute traffic reports as you travel, you can check the traffic along your route ahead of time. This lets you plan ahead of time which route you're going to take. MyDrive lets you set your destination on your smartphone or tablet, and send it to your GO 600 before you get in the car. You can save your favorite destinations and access them by tapping them on the map. TomTom MyDrive is compatible with iPhone/iPad running iOS 8.0 or later, and with Android devices with OS 3.0 and up.
Speak & Go: TomTom's Speak & Go Voice Control technology lets you speak commands and destination addresses instead of selecting items on the screen. This lets you keep your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road. You will need to set up a "wake-up" phrase to start Voice Control, then speak the commands you want the GO 600 to perform. You can use Voice Control for navigation and routing, and to change settings on the device. In many cases, the GO 600 will recognize different words that all mean the same thing, such as "OK," "Correct," or "Right" instead of "Yes."
IQ Routes Technology: The GO 600 calculates your routes based on the real average speed measured on roads rather than the posted speed limits. IQ Routes takes into account the time of day you're traveling a road, and how rush hour traffic, pedestrian traffic, and traffic light changes can affect actual traffic speed. You will get a more accurate ETA and the fastest recommended route based on real world data.
Eco Routes: Using the driving data of millions of TomTom users, the unit can indicate which routes are the most fuel-efficient to save you money and have a lower environmental impact.
Advanced Lane Guidance: When navigating difficult intersections, the GO 600 uses realistic images and arrows to indicate which lane to take to best negotiate the turns. This service is only available in the US and Canada.
Points Of Interest: The GO 600 gives you access to over 10 million pre-loaded Points of Interest (POIs) including fuel stations, parking, restaurants, cash machines, and lots more. The POIs are indicated by icons, and in some cases, logos of the business. You can select which POI categories you want to display.
Favorite Locations: The Favorite menu allows you to store into memory those locations that you visit frequently. You can choose a favorite location the same way you choose a destination. The following menu options are available; Home, Address, Recent Destination, Point Of Interest, Point On Map, GPS Position (allows you to store your current location quickly), latitude and longitude, and the location where your TomTom was last used.
Help Me! Menu: This feature gives you direct access to safety and road assistance information, such as the phone number and route description to the nearest police station or hospital. The Where Am I? feature can pinpoint your exact location so you can accurately communicate it to emergency resources. When the device is paired with your mobile phone via Bluetooth, you can call for help (police, fire, rescue, car repair) with one touch.
