Beautiful
Crutchfield customer from Ballston Spa, NY on 2/16/2020
Very attractive cabinet, and selected this model because of the large upper shelf to hide a soundbar.
Pros: IR works through the doors, and acoustically transparent so soundbar/speakers can be hidden inside. Wheels on base make rolling cabinet out to get access to rear wiring simple. Good internal ventilation. Drawer in middle allows hiding away spare remotes, calibration equipment, etc. as well as media.
Cons: Depth of cabinet is a bit short - yes equipment fits but cable clearance (esp. with yammy receiver) means the back on that side can't be installed (but at least the back is removable!). At this price, expected less composition/veneer and more solid wood (doors use solid wood at least), but it seems well built and top is reinforced to allow placement of TV directly on console. Height of internal shelf is not adjustable.

Looks great, but too expensive for self-assembly.
Adam from CHARLOTTE, NC on 2/16/2020
"White glove" delivery came with no assembly. I am very disappointed. I wouldn't have ordered this from Crutchfield had I known this fact in advance. The same furniture was available through a local dealer that I would have used instead. I have always had great experiences with Crutchfield electronics in the past, but I won't be ordering furniture from them in the future because of this confusion. I was able to assemble the piece by myself, and it does look great. The most difficult parts were lifting the cabinet from its front (because it was unboxed incorrectly by the delivery service) to the bottom after attaching the leg and base assembly that I put together and lifting the tempered glass top onto the cabinet once it was right side up. The glass is very heavy, and I initially put the wrong side down because I didn't see the single sticker in a corner that indicated which side faced down. I had to pick it back up and flip it over while it was propped up on the back of the cabinet. Two people really should handle the glass. After loading my components, the Denon AVR-X3600H is a tight fit on the sides due to the hinges.
Pros: Looks great. Wheels make it easy to pull the cabinet away from the wall to make connections.
Cons: Delivery did not include set up as expected. Hard to move the furniture from side to side to center it in its space.

BDI Corridor 8177 Review - ash color
Gina from New York, NY on 8/12/2019
We LOVE this unit for so many reasons. We expected it to take weeks, but we had it in a week and a half. It's gorgeous, well made, strong, and the glass top is elegant and worry free for scratches. Having the wheels is icing on the cake. We removed a solid oak entertainment center from the early 90s that went to the floor and replaced a small TV that sat inside with a 65 inch Sony Bravia X950G. Culture shock for shore. This unit was very easy to push into place and move even loaded. My receiver, cd player, blue ray, Fios box fit beautifully. The drawer is perfect for my CD collection. My old Klipsch 36 inch speakers look great on the side. It was hard finding something to match their aged oak finish and the ash fit the bill. FYI, delivery was wonderful. Two young men brought this in the house, unwrapped it and put the legs, handles and top on. We sit 12 feet from this and have NO problem with the remote through the doors! The only issue was that one door was slightly off, which support helped with - they sent instructions on adjusting it immediately to my e-mail and in seconds it was even. Couldn't be happier with the unit and customer service. We're not old, but not that tech saavy, so I expect we'll be purchasing many items in the future with such great support. One thing I would love to have BDI add are clips/stations for the surge protectors. We separated out the TV units from the music and purchased a huge surge protector.
Pros: beautifully made, fits my components and blended with speakers I refuse to give up, deliver and customer service exceptional experience
Cons: I would agree that making it a bit wider between the 65 inch and 80 inch size would be great for a little counter space on the top and space for surge protectors inside, especially when you have dogs like we do and don't like to leave anything within reach.

Worth every penny!
Sid from Phoenix, AZ on 3/22/2017
This is my second BDI piece purchased via Crutchfield; definitely worth every penny! This item has just the right amount of space to include a Panamax 5400 power manager together with a Denon receiver, Xbox, surround bar, and other small components with room to spare. Sleek black glass-top resists fingerprint smears and dust together with the louvered spacing that adds ample air flow to the components within (a must in AZ). If this piece was 2-5 inches wider, this would go well with a 75" television. The only suggestion is to make the center drawer optional or removable as the black background of the drawer is visible when sitting directly in front of the unit which breaks up the louvered look. Overall, a fantastic product!
Pros: Ample space Sleek look Great design Sturdy construction Hidden wheels make for easy access to back panel Dust and fingerprint resistant
Cons: If this piece was 2-5 inches wider, this would be ideal to go with a 75" television (not necessarily a negative). Suggestion is to make the center drawer optional or removable as the black background of the drawer is visible when sitting directly in front of the unit, breaking up the louvered look a bit.

Great unit. Some surprises when we got it
Lucien from Bethesda, MD on 10/30/2016
This is a really well built (heavy) piece of furniture. I say furniture instead of just a 'stand' because it both looks and feels like something you'll want to keep for decades. The hardware and build are top quality, it's well designed for being flexible and usable with your electronics. Good placement of passthroughs for cables and air vents allow a lot of flexibility in how you arrange the inside. A couple of things that aren't clear here or even on BDIs website: The top shelf does is divided in 3 sections but the dividers don't go all the way to the front which allows an up to 9" deep Speaker to go the whole width of the cabinet. Or up to 3 full depth sections. I have a Yamaha YSP-1100 in it. This is the ONLY closed unit I found that that beast would fit in. Although the open slats do allow an IR remote to work with everything closed - it's not easy because you have to get the angle just right for each component. Glass doors are much much easier from that perspective. But these are far more attractive. I'm probably going to get a harmony hub to just avoid the frustration which means we could have just bought a solid front cabinet for the sides but then we couldn't have put the speaker inside which really cleans up the look. The smoked glass top is beautiful, but is a fingerprint magnet. The entire center panel is a drawer front that pulls straight out and the bottom half of it has removable dividers in a drawer that is just rig
Pros: Great build and hardware Open configuration inside Slat front for remote use
Cons: Slat front for remote use not quite what you might think Drawer in center great for useability but difficult for kids to open because of weight.

Stereo cabinet, corridor 8177
Sue shriver from Rohnert Park, CA 94928 on 6/3/2016
I love my cabinet. It arrived in perfect condition. When I spoke with Buck before I purchased my corridor 8177 he was so helpful. The little assembly that was needed was easy.
Pros: Well built piece of furniture.
Cons: The only thing I would change with the design of my corridor 8177 would not have the middle drawer. I would prefer a area that I could put another stereo component or use as store. Not crazy about drawer.
