This is a very well designed and constructed item. There are much less expensive options, but this console is worth the extra money. It is solid, attractive, and easy to use.

This unit is beautiful, and well thought out. Highly recommended!
Crutchfield customer from Belmont, CA on 10/20/2019
Wow, I really love this piece of furniture! I've been looking for an entertainment center that would hold my 75" TV, Definitive center channel speaker, and Yamaha receiver. Unfortunately most pieces of furniture that I found didn't have shelves that were high enough. My center channel has a built-in upward-firing subwoofer, and it needs a little space above the speaker to work well. The design of this furniture works perfectly for that speaker. This unit looks great too. I highly recommend it.
Pros: Center shelf is tall enough to handle just about any center channel speaker Center drawer can be removed to make even more room for the center channel The cherry wood is beautiful The left/right side shelves are adjustable to make room for receivers of any height You can use the built-in wheels, or the legs. It's adjustable. The darkened glass hides the electronic, but you can still read the displays (for the most part) The back panels are easily removable
Cons: Although the darkened glass lets you see the displays of the enclosed electronics, I do find it a little harder to read the volume display on my receiver. This is more of a problem with my receiver though. It would work better with this furniture if the volume indicator was larger.

I don't write reviews, but this deserves one!
Bill from Glen Allen, VA on 1/25/2019
That's what I said - I don't write reviews. Period. Well, Ok, just this one time... I took delivery of this media center today, and could not be more pleased. This is REAL furniture, not a knocked-down, assemble-it-yourself kit. White Glove Delivery carried it upstairs and set it up. This thing is designed by someone who knows what they are doing. It's designed to accommodate large components with more than adequate ventilation. The inline casters are not obvious, and it effortlessly rolls away from the wall for installing and connecting components, and also has leveling feet if you want to use them. It is well built, and worth the money.
Pros: Well designed Heavy duty construction Well ventilated Concealed in-line casters
Cons: I have not yet found any cons...

Great A/V cabinet
Crutchfield customer from Bailey, MS on 3/30/2018
Outstand A/V cabinet. Minor assembly required (base and door handles, the cabinet is otherwise fully assembled). Robust construction ... it weighs 200 pounds. Good cable management. Speedy, but if you want the best.
Pros: Functional and esthetic design
Cons: It's not big box retail wallet friendly

Beautiful finish on the Avion 8929
Anthony from Carol Stream, IL on 11/19/2017
I have had this fantastic piece of furniture now for over a good year. I am very happy with its construction and finish. Holds 9 components of mine. It keeps everything clean and hidden even the center channel. Hidden wheels are a nice feature. It is extremely heavy so when we moved last year make sure you have help like I did to move it! In the past I bought cheap TV stands. This one will last forever.

BDI Avion 8929
Steve Lepley from San Ramon,Ca on 1/17/2014
I am always cautious about buying furniture online. But I was looking for a long tome when I saw this. Ive known about Crutchfield for along time and I know they stand behind there product so I purchased it. The cabinet came in one piece so no real assembly required. Solid construction, would recommend to anyone.
Pros: Item is heavy, but for a couple of extra dollars The shippers unpack it and removed all the cardboard.
Cons: I really dont have any.

Beautiful Avion cherry cabinet
Bison fan from Fargo, ND on 10/5/2013
This Avion cherry cabinet is a beautiful piece of furniture. It is large and very heavy, so you need at least two people to unpack it. There is a small amount of assembly to do (you attach the bottom support frame and heavy duty casters). It comes with the tools required to put it together and has very good instructions included. The finish on the exterior of the cabinet is first rate, a very smooth finish with no imperfections. The interior surfaces are not given as much attention (it seems the surface should of been lightly sanded and given one more coat of finish) as the perfect finish applied to the exterior. It not that the inside looks bad, but in comparison to the exterior its not as nice. The outside is smooth as silk and the inside feels slightly rough. Our cabinet arrived with a couple of small cracks in the wood (only visible on the inside, lower part of cabinet). The heavy duty shipping box showed almost no damage at all so it is confusing how the inside of the cabinet was cracked and no damage to the outside. Crutchfield was very helpful and I was given the options of returning the cabinet, keeping it with a price discount ($150) or getting a replacement panel from BDI and swap out the damaged panel. I chose the discount as the damage is not visible from the outside and returning/repairing this beast did not seem like a very good solution. I was very impressed with the way this was handled by the Crutchfield people I spoke with. They made me happy.
Pros: Beautiful finish. Large casters make rolling cabinet very easy and allows easy access to rear of components. I can fit our Polk Audio CSiA6 center speaker in the center of the cabinet (with drawer removed). Slow close hinges on doors are very nice and quiet. BDI really pays attention to detail and makes a very nice looking piece of furniture. The fit and finish of doors and drawers is excellent!
Cons: It is expensive, but you get what you pay for. It is very heavy so the initial unpacking and assembly is some work, but the heavy weight is also a sign of a high quality item. I was disappointed with the damage to the inside, but I can't fault BDI or Crutchfield for that.
