About the Mirage Nanosat
Treat yourself to great home theater sound with Mirage's ultra-compact Nanosat speaker, sold individually. This satellite uses advanced Mirage technology to ensure a remarkably spacious, realistic soundstage. And its small size and elegant good looks make it easy to integrate into your listening space.
Innovative design for exceptionally open, lifelike sound
The key to this satellite's big, true-to-life sound is Mirage's exclusive Omnipolar® technology. Thanks to the saucer-shaped Omniguide mounted above its drivers, the Nanosat can disperse sound evenly in a 360° pattern. The result: a deeper, wider, taller soundstage that transforms your entire listening space into a "sweet spot." Mirage's approach delivers a combination of direct and reflected sound that's more like what we hear in real life. And you won't have to anchor yourself to one primary seat you'll experience warm, natural audio throughout the room.
Out-of-the-way placement options
Mirage's Omnipolar design gives you lots of placement flexibility. This tiny satellite can sit comfortably on shelves or tables, or you can mount it on the wall using the included hardware. Because of the way it radiates sound, this speaker is more forgiving than a direct-firing speaker. For example, you can place the it high up near the ceiling for a cleaner look.
You can build your own Nanosat system team up five, six, or seven satellites with a Mirage powered subwoofer for full-bodied, high-impact sound. Or, check out Mirage's pre-assembled Nanosat home theater speaker system for an easy, all-in-one solution.

Features
Drivers: The satellite speaker houses a 2-3/4" titanium deposit polypropylene cone midrange with butyl rubber surround and a 3/4" pure titanium hybrid (PTH) dome tweeter mounted on the Omniguide.
OmniPolar Design: Using the Omniguide, the NanoSat satellite speaker radiates sound in a 360° pattern. This pattern creates a deeper, more spacious soundstage and a bigger sweet spot in your listening area than a typical direct radiating speaker. When listening to acoustic instruments live, we hear more sound reflected than directly. The Omniguide closely approximates this reflected to direct ratio, giving the NanoSat its large, realistic soundstage.
Enclosure: The satellite speaker has an acoustic suspension, extruded aluminum enclosure.
Mounting: The satellite speaker comes with a key-hole slot wall mount bracket installed. The bracket is mounted with one screw and can position the speaker right side up or upside down. The bracket mounts the speaker approximately 1/4" away from the wall. If you mount the satellite speaker more than six feet off the floor, Mirage recommends turning it upside down. If you place the satellite speaker on a table or shelf, put it as close to the front edge as possible.
Optional Stands: The NanoSat speaker can be mounted on the optional Mirage MS-STB-1 stands (653MSSTBB). When mounting the speakers on these stands, you must retain and use the white rubber washers that come with the speakers (mounted between the speaker and the attached metal bracket). Without the rubber washer, the NanoSat speaker will not properly tighten to the stand.
Speaker Terminals: The satellite features high-quality binding post speaker terminals for a secure and convenient connection. You will need to remove a plug that's inserted in the center of the binding post if you wish to use single banana plugs, the terminals are too far apart for dual banana plugs. Spade connectors, pin connectors, or bare wire up to 10 gauge can also be used.
Video Shielded: The satellite speaker is magnetically shielded for safe placement near your TV or computer monitor without causing picture interference.
Speaker Matching: If you wish to use the NanoSat speaker for a surround system, you can purchase additional satellites (653NANOPB) and/or an additional center channel speaker (653NANOCTR, same design in a different cabinet) to fill out your speaker requirements.
