Overview

Our take on the Hushmat 628020

You've finally got your vehicle's sound system dialed in so you're getting the sound you want…when the truck is stationary. When you're moving, though, road noise drowns out the sound you've so carefully put together. Even with the windows rolled up, the level of road noise can force you to turn up the stereo to ear-blasting levels to compete. What can you do to combat this problem?

Problem: noise

You've finally got your vehicle's sound system dialed in so you're getting the sound you want…when the truck is stationary. When you're moving, though, road noise drowns out the sound you've so carefully put together. Even with the windows rolled up, the level of road noise can force you to turn up the stereo to ear-blasting levels to compete. What can you do to combat this problem?

Solution: Hushmat

Hushmat has the answer: a custom-fit insulation kit that allows you to cut road noise by up to 15 dB. Just apply the pre-fitted pieces of self-adhesive insulating material to the internal surfaces of your truck, and you'll see and hear a dramatic difference. Hushmat also insulates against heat from your vehicle's engine compartment and exhaust system, so your truck will stay cooler and more comfortable in the heat of summer and your air conditioning won't have to work so hard to keep you cool. With Hushmat installed, you'll notice that your vehicle is quieter even when you aren't playing the stereo. That's the Hushmat difference.

2001-04 Chevy S10 and 2002-04 GMC Sonoma

The Hushmat 628020 truck insulation kit includes pre-cut pieces to fit the firewall, doors, floor, roof, and rear wall of your truck. You'll have to disassemble your vehicle's interior to apply Hushmat directly to the body panels. It's a little bit of work, but it's totally worth the effort, considering the time and money you've put into your system. If you haven't tackled a project like this before, we recommend that you go to a professional who has experience in disassembling and reassembling vehicle interiors. Warranty: 60 days.
