Are these worth investing in over top of just using 4x6" speakers? I can't say. The enclosure is so small that you're not going to hear much bass out of these. The grilles on the Jeep Wrangler are so small that you're cutting out a lot of the capability of the 5.25" speaker that's hidden behind it. The pods themselves are nice and the wiring adapters work perfectly. One thing I did notice on my 1998 TJ is that the driver's side pod cannot be mounted in the factory screw holes on the top side without hitting the headlight switch. I had to drill a hole about 1/4" to the left of the factory screw holes and use that. Then the speaker grille is able to fit, but kind of sticks out a bit. Overall I'm happy with the purchase, but I doubt they get you a whole lot of audiophile results. I'm still in the midst to piecing together a full system. I'm replacing my head unit and I'm going to add a powered subwoofer. Once I have control over high pass crossover capability, these Polk Audio speakers (DB522) should sound better. They don't handle bass well.

97 thru 06 Jeep Wrangler TJ Dash Pods.

These dash pods are for 97 thru 06 Jeep Wrangler TJ. These dash pods are very well built. They are not just light plastic, they are a true enclosure. These things sound great, they even come pre stuffed with poly fill. They also have gaskets for the speakers. They also appear to be water proof as they have grommets for the wires. I wouldn't submerge them but they certainly will protect from a splash. The wire plug adapters fit my 2000 TJ with no problem what so ever. Just so everybody knows, the gauge of wire on the connector adapters is the same as what is already in the Jeep. Depending on what year your Jeep TJ is you might have to remove a small piece of metal from the dash right around the new enclosure and can be easily done with quality snips or a die grinder or Dremel tool. These dash pods are really easy to install with the right tools. I was hesitant to spend so much on these but I am pleasantly surprised with the quality, they are really well built.

Worth every penny

I already had 5.25 inch speakers in the dash of my 97 Jeep Wrangler, but couldn't hear them. Adding these made a noticeable difference in balancing the sound between the 6.5 inch speakers I have in the overhead/roll bar along with my 8-inch sub on the floor behind the front seats. I can hear the front speakers now. Definitely worth the money.

Wrangler Sound

First they do what they say got them in 3 days, next it a great product easy install with 5.25 round speakers took less then 30 minutes and done. Gave my TJ much better sound up front, would recommend to all jeep owners.
