Features

Overview: The Neo-Pod is sturdy, black plastic enclosure for an 8" subwoofer. It is designed for 2007 to 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited models and mounts under the front passenger's seat.

Speaker Compatibility: The Neo-Pod will accept a single 8" subwoofer (sold separately) with a maximum depth of 2.895" and a maximum magnet diameter of approximately 7".

Note: Neither the subwoofer nor wiring is included.

Sealed Enclosure: The sealed chamber volume is approximately 0.375 ft³.

Installation

Pod Installation: The Neo-Pod installs easily under the front passenger's seat. It mounts to the floor using three included hex-head self-tapping screws.

Tools Required: The following tools are recommended for installation of the Neo-Pod:

Wire cutters
Wire stripper
Drill
Phillips head bit
3/8" socket bit and extension for drill, or 3/8" ratchet socket and extension and a small drill bit for pilot holes

Note: You may need a sanding drum and rotary tool if you have to make the opening slightly larger to fit your desired subwoofer.

How much space is there between the subwoofer driver and the floor?

It's a tight fit David! We have a maximum top mount (or tweeter protrusion) depth of 2.4 inches. This box works best with subwoofers that do not have excessive throw or extremely large surrounds. I hope this helps!

I have my amp under the passenger seat, will this fit under the driver's seat? Where is everyone putting their amp?

It doesn't fit under the driver's seat in my 07 JKU; I put the enclosure under the passenger seat and my amp under the rear seat (I zip tied it up underneath the seat so it isn't sitting directly on the floor being that my Jeep gets rained in regularly).

It is not symmetrical, I'm sure it would not fit under the drivers seat - it's a tight fit under the passenger seat (but fits fine). I'd recommend moving your amp to the drivers side, that's where I put mine.

I have a 2010 Jeep Wrangler 4 door and it fits perfectly under the passenger side seat. I do not think it would fit under the back seat however

No, not if you want to fold your rear seat. Even then, it won't fit right. They fit very nicely under the passenger seat. I lined the internals of mine with sound deadening rubber from hardware store and it sounds good for an 8" sub.

What 8inch speaker will fit into the increments neo pod?

The sub-woofer must be shallow mount. I also had to make modifications to the opening. Most sub-woofers come with a paper template for the opening of the box and that is what I used to make the whole bigger. I have heard that the kicker shallow mount sometimes fit without modifications depending on the model. I am using a Rockford Fosgate P3SD2-8 with this Neo-Pod.

The maximum depth for a subwoofer is 2.875" but the current series MM 8" subwoofers need around 4" for depth.
