All your bass in one place

Which sub do I buy? Which amp do I get? Putting a bass system together for your vehicle can be confusing, so we've eliminated the guesswork. This Crutchfield-approved bass package features Pioneer's GM-D8601 amplifier and their TS-SWX2502 sealed enclosure, a great combination that will get you and your car rockin'. Just add wiring and you've got a recipe for deep, satisfying bass.

Cool power

Pioneer's sharp-looking GM-D8601 mono amplifier delivers 300 watts RMS to the package's sub, for powerful bass that'll get you and your car rockin'. Highly efficient Class D technology keeps this powerful amp running as cool as it looks, and allows for a compact chassis that fits in a lot of out-of-the-way spaces. And this little workhorse can handle a 1-ohm load without breaking a sweat, so you never have to worry about impedance matching if you add subs to your system down the road. The amp's got a low-pass filter that lets you quickly sharpen and focus the bass to suit your car's interior, and also includes a wired remote boost that lets you control the bass from the front seat.

TS-SWX2502 shallow enclosure

Need hard-hitting bass from a small enclosure? Pioneer's TS-SWX2502 enclosure fits in in a wide variety of car trunks and truck applications, and delivers powerful performance without taking up a lot of space. At only 6" deep, it'll work in most standard, extended, or crew cab pickups. The enclosure houses Pioneer's TS-SW2502S4 10" sub, which features an oversized, mica-injected molded resin cone that moves more air for enhanced bass response. Its dual-spider design helps to stabilize the cone and support the linear movement needed to pump out big volume.

Q
Can this be integrated to the factory system in a 2016 Tahoe w/ nav?
[ Jefferson  Jul 09, 2016 ]
1 answer
A
You will want to contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat to discuss compatibility with your factory system. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and see if this will integrate. If it does not, then they will also be able to discuss other options with you.

Thanks for your question. For information on selecting the best amp for your subs I would recommend reaching out to an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They will be able to help determine the differences between the amp models and help you make the best choice for your system.

Q
Is the amp setup for this sub right out of the box? Or do i need to manually set the amp?
[ josher  Mar 29, 2016 ]

A
The two are a great match (the amp and sub) but you always want to set the amplifier gain and crossovers properly. These settings can differ from one application to another based on the quality of the incoming audio signal and the frequency response of the other speakers in your system. You'll find additional information on these topics in the Crutchfield Labs: http://www.crutchfield.com/learn/setting-amplifier-gain.html?search=gain & http://www.crutchfield.com/learn/car/subwoofers/tuning.html?search=tuning I hope that helps!
