I bought these based on reviews without ever listening to them and I wasn't disappointed. I'm driving them with an NAD M23 power amp and a Parasound Halo P6 preamp and they produce the cleanest sound I've ever heard. Like many other reviewers have said "I'm hearing things from my recordings I've never heard before". If I close my eyes I would think I was at a live performance. These are bass reflex speakers, so placement is somewhat critical in your room. I put mine as close to the wall as possible and canted inward a bit and they sound perfect. Prior to buying these I was using Polk audio RTi-a9's which I thought were pretty good speakers, the Cornwalls blow them out of the water. These are the most expensive pair of speakers I've ever owned and I feel as though I definitely got my money's worth. Excellent speakers that I would recommend to anybody.
Pros: Exceptional build quality. Unbelievable clarity.
Cons: Cabinets lack style, just big boxes, but I knew that going in, so given the sound these big guys produce I can live with the lack of style.

Just received my Cornwalls IV's. Did a lot of research and was not disappointed! They are paired with a Sansui 9090DB and they really brought it to life! I definitely recommend to anyone looking for a speaker that brings you right to the concert stage. I'm not great at reviews, but if you are looking for speakers that will keep your heart beating during a heart attack, the Cornwall IV's are for you.

Lifetime speakers
Jon from Charleston WV on 9/28/2022
These are keepers. I bought these to upgrade from the popular Klipsch KLF20s and they deliver. The midrange is the best I've ever heard with rich and enveloping sound. This is where the Cornwalls really shine. Treble is laid back compared to othe Klipsch products including the KLF series and older RF line. No harshness here, just a life sized and life like wall of sound that draws you into hours of listening. Plenty of detail and a more fleshed out sound than other speakers I've owned. What I mean is instruments sound more 3 dimensional and complete for lack of better audiophile terminology. The CWIVs are low volume champs. Sound is full with great resolution at conversation levels. All this being said there is a possibility I may "downgrade" to Forte IVs at some point. The CW size is borderline too much for my space but either way I'm sticking with the Klipsch Heritage line long term. So yeah, these are lifetime quality speakers.
Pros: Full sized, enveloping sound. Articulate bass despite the large driver. Look cool.
Cons: Big. If you're house is smaller than 2000 sq feet (mines a touch under) it's likely that the scale of these speakers will be a bit intimidating.

You get what you should expect when figuring in the price factor. The speakers were very well packed. The speakers themselves are like a FINE piece of furniture. The sound is everything you'd expect from this level of Klipsch speakers. I'm driving them with a Parasound preamp and power amp. They are a wish come true
Pros: Excellent sound quality and cabinet finishing!
Cons: None

Welcome back!
Woody from Birmingham, AL on 7/30/2022
When I was younger, I had a pair of KG4's...and loved them. Man, how have I missed this sound and the FEELING of being at a live concert. It's not hype, it's actually how Klipsch products sound and I could not be happier. Just close your eyes and the sound stage is presented right out in front. The midrange is simply stunning. - Powering them with a 30 year old Denon AVR 4800, which is plenty. - SVS SB-2000 sub - Debated about the Forte's but the C-IV's are less fussy with placement due to lack of passive radiator
Pros: Incredible midrange
Cons: Bass could be stronger, but is very accurate and musical.

New for Klipsch, old idea
Tom from West Chester, OH on 9/12/2021
It's great to see that the factory is taking hints on how to modify this speaker to perform better. The DIY community has been doing it for years.
Pros: Wider soundstage!!
Cons: Price getting ridiculous.

If you love the sound of music, these are exceptional speakers, musical, and efficient. The further I got them apart, the better they sounded. I will warn you, I did not get the "grin" when I first plugged them in, they take patience and tone to break in, but you will notice when It occurs. It's a magical warmth that some are familiar with, and hopefully others will get to experience. It is a classy speaker that can do it all. I do not regret my purchase, and I don't think you will either.
Pros: Sound Efficient Musical

Adds the live sound to your music
Harry from Birmingham, AL on 4/10/2021
I wanted speakers with presence. I wanted to get that big grin on your face that you get when your music sounds like it is being performed in front of you. I purchased these in part because of the positive review of Steve Guttenberg of the Audiophiliac YT channel. They completely deliver. My wife was pretty dubious on the expense of these and that they would sound better. Now we regularly sit in front of them and enjoy listening to music. Get them. You won't regret it. I also paired mine with a Cambridge Audio CXA81 integrated amp and it's more laid back style blends well with the dynamic character of the Klipsch C-IVs.
Pros: Live and dynamic sound
Cons: Big and fairly heavy

The horn loading presents a high soundstage with equal amount of attack and decay! The bass is fast for a 15 inch woofer , moreover these speakers can move air (SPL) !

Classic, Timeless Design
James from Nevada, MO on 1/13/2021
Unless you are put off by this speaker's physical dimensions and weight, I think it would be hard to find a better over-all value in a nearly full-range floor-standing speaker. Over the years, I've owned nearly all of the speakers in the Klipsch Heritage line. This is the only model I've owned twice. Klipschorn's were the best but are very room dependent. La Scala's were just too bulky for my taste, and in my opinion, really needed a good subwoofer or two, which leaves the Cornwall as my personal favorite in the Heritage line to actually live with. (I've never owned Forte's) Cornwall's will work well in a variety of rooms and placements. They are, like all Klipsch models, higher than average in sensitivity and clarity, while being lower than average in distortion. They go loud and fairly low, and personally, I love the looks. In a world of look-alike towers, the Cornwall IV is at the very least, refreshingly different; a truly classic design that never goes out of style.
Pros: clarity sensitivity low distortion historically good resale value 10 year warranty
Cons: somewhat bulky not inexpensive

Awesome speakers.
Mark from South Salem, NY on 11/15/2020
So I've been listening to "stereos" since my buddy in 1972 showed and taught me what stereo sound was. He had an all in one Panasonic stereo with turntable and separate speakers. He put on The Beatles and had me listen how different sounds, voices, instruments came from each side. My jaw dropped, one, because of what I was experiencing, and truthfully because he knew about it and I didn't. I quickly purchased my first system, a Marantz 1070 preamp and Fisher 111k 5 way speakers. It was audio Nirvana. I've gone through many, many iterations of systems over the years, each incrementally better and more expensive. But it wasn't until I took delivery of the Cornwall IV to replace my Klipsch RF7 II, and after listening extensively to them and my Revel f208 in my secondary system, that I experienced audio Nirvana again. The Cornwall IV is that good. I'm also a fan of The Absolute Sound magazine and have read up on speakers costing tens of thousands of dollars. Well, these are a steal. You want a concert in front of your room, live music like you'd hear in a club, don't pass go, don't collect $200, but do buy these. The only regret you may have is that you either can't afford or should have gotten the La Scala or bigger brothers.

Just listen it for the first time yesterday, it sounds clear and bright. This is a huge monster. Make sure you have plenty of width space in your room. Will need more listening time to sink in
