I have a full set of Klipsch THX Ultra 2 speakers including 2 of these subs with a single amp. The amp takes a single mono input therefore even though it's two subs it's not .2 it's still .1 as far as configuration for the amp. You could use two amps to get the stereo LFE channel but I don't think it's necessary. A single one will fill most rooms with plenty of bass, a pair of these with proper placement and room treatment are simply stunning. They dig deep and they play clear. They are very detailed and handle going from soft accentuating bass to big booms and bangs seamlessly. More importantly there is quite a bit of very deep LFE track tones that add rumble and ambiance to modern movies especially with uncompressed sound, these handle that stuff better than any of the other subs I've owned and tested. The only subs I put in the same ballpark as these would be JL, SVS, or ED. The SVS in pairs can keep up with these possibly even surpass them but after listening to many different HT setups I simply liked the Klipsch the best.
Pros: size frequency response musicality
