Features
2-Way Driver Design: The Jamo 6.5CS in-ceiling loudspeaker features a 2-way driver design with a 0.5" mylar dome tweeter and a 6.5" polypropylene cone woofer for good quality sound. The mylar dome tweeter can be pivoted and angled in order to aim the high frequency sound at your main listening area.
Applications: The Jamo 6.5CS in-ceiling loudspeaker can be utilized in a distributed audio or 2-channel stereo setup. It can also be used as a surround or overhead speaker in a home theater application (not suitable for use as a front or center channel speaker).
Moisture Resistant: The mylar dome tweeter and polypropylene cone woofer are moisture resistant and can be used in damp areas - such as a bathroom, basement, or garage.
Spring-Clip Speaker Terminals: The Jamo 6.5CS in-ceiling loudspeaker is outfitted with a set of spring-clip terminals to attach your speaker wire. The spring-clip terminals will accommodate bare wire (up to 12AWG) and pin-connectors (not compatible with banana plugs).
In-Ceilling Installation: The Jamo 6.5CS can be installed in a 0.5" to 1.5" (thick) drywall ceiling. The 6.5CS speaker requires a circular (round) cutout in the ceiling that measures 7.8125" (diameter) x 3.125" (deep). The outer frame of the in-ceiling speaker measures 8.9375" (diameter) x 0.5" (deep). The speaker is secured in place with four integrated "dog-ear" clamps. You'll need to leave at least 0.75" of space around the cut-out behind the wall to accommate the mounting clamps.
Note: Take care when cutting the hole to avoid cutting into pipes or electrical conduits behind the wall.
Paintable Grille: The included grille and integrated frame are paintable, allowing the Jamo 6.5CS in-ceiling speaker to blend in better with its surroundings.
