Handy extras for easy installation

AudioQuest includes sequential footage markers on the cable jacket to simplify measuring. Directional arrows tell you which way the signal should flow through the cable for the best sound. Plus, with a 4-conductor cable, you can run just one cable from your amplifier or receiver to a pair of speakers or in-wall volume control, so you'll have just one cable to pull, secure, and identify.

Keep your home and family safe with in-wall-rated speaker wire

When you're running wire inside your walls, it's important that you use speaker cable that's approved for in-wall runs. This cable's CL3 certification means it passed NEC (National Electric Code) safety tests for in-wall usage. AudioQuest's FLX cables are also rated for direct burial. You can run them to your outdoor speakers and bury them in the ground without a protective conduit.

Product Research

Features

Overview: The FLX-DB16/4 in-wall speaker cable has four 16 gauge conductors to supply wiring for two speakers, or bi-wiring for one speaker. Using Semi-Solid packing, the individual copper strands within the bundle don't change position, resulting in reduced distortion. The long grain structure in the low distortion, oxygen free, high-conductivity copper AudioQuest uses results in a natural sound, uncolored by the cable. The Star-Quad geometry lowers cable inductance, reducing susceptibility to external noise sources.

Customer Q&A

Q
Crutchfield asked: Why did you buy this?
A
It appeared to be a quality wire with some desirable features such as tight twist and pure copper. [ Ray  Apr 11, 2018 ]

1 question already asked

Q
What is the diameter of this wire. Also, what is the diameter of the same wire in 2 conductor? I would like to know so that I can pre-drill holes in studs for in-wall placement.
[ Craig  Aug 12, 2017 ]
1 answer
A
16/4 measures 8mm diameter but you will want a slightly larger hole to make pulling wire easier. I don't have 16/2 available to measure.
