Right Tool For The Job

Crutchfield customer from Bronx, NY on 10/29/2019

After years of messing around with finger tightening or using awkward crescent wrenches, I finally bought the right tool for the job. It worked better than the alternatives and made it easier to give my cables a firm contact without over-tightening. If your gears has binding posts, just buy one you will be glad you did.

Pros: Works without fiddling around.

Cons: None

You folks are great ! I ask if there was a tool that would tighten the fasteners that look like wire nuts for speaker wire connections. The item sent to me was a hex nut driver that didn't fit the plastic robed cone shaped red and black nuts that secure the speaker wires. I called your team and ask if there was a different tool available and there isn't, but they also removed the charge to my account. The tool wasn't expensive and sending it back would cost half its value and I was told to keep it. I did find the answer to my problem with a 12mm 12 connect point socket it slides over the fastener and makes connect as it's pushed further in. The terminal s are close together and using a heavy gage wire doesn't leave room for finger tightening and the socket fits easily.
