Great improvement to the sound quality over a cheaper USB cable
Pros: Much improve sound quality it's audible
Cons: Not very flexible and I wish it was available in a smaller size then 2.5 feet

Better than I initially thought ....
Russ from Morristown, TN on 1/23/2023
I couldn't tell much difference between these and cheaper cables UNTIL I let them run 40+ hours each. Then I could hear subtle, but noticeable, differences and I think you will be pleased with the AQ Cinnamon cable.

Order arrived quickly as usual with Crutchfield. Cable is perfect length, and outer jacket seems pretty durable. Works and sounds good, although I didn't compare to the USB cable that came with my preamp/DAC.

A very well-built cable. It is fairly stiff, but with a bit of planning, the stiffness didn't impact the cable routing. I did not upgrade from anything, so I have no comparison. The cable is used for the connection between my computer and Sony UDA-1/B DAC.
Pros: High-Quality looks great
Cons: Price

Audio Quest Forest vs Audio Quest Cinnamon
Crutchfield customer from Port Richey, FL on 11/5/2020
This is a review comparing Audio Quest Forest and Audio Quest Cinnamon USB connectors. I first bought the Audio Quest Forest and played it every day for two months. The Forest sounded wonderful with superior high fidelity and detail. However the first five seconds that and I played the Cinnamon I was shocked. Immediately I found a night and day difference. My streaming with Tidal Masterpiece went from wonderful detailed high fidelity much better than CD quality to real life sound. I am a union percussionist playing live music since 1964 so I know what a real instrument sounds like in my own recording studio. The Cinnamon made it real. My Klipsch La Scallas have never sounded this good. Ever.During the past 30 years that I have owned and played my speakers they never sounded this real from any source. I am still shocked at there new performance. The price difference is very small between the two products but the sound difference is very big. Especially if you don't do what I did and buy them both. Ultimately you decide which one is best for you. Do you want wonderful detailed Hi fidelity? Or do you want to make it real?

Nice clean sound from my laptop to my Dac in my Marantz CD player. 192/32 sounds great over this cable. I have burned many reel to reel tapes on a tascam recorder and then burned the cds to my laptop. The sound is full and dynamic through this usb cable. Enjoy it when you buy it.

They work.
Crutchfield customer from Milford, PA on 4/22/2020
After having cut out issues with my Belkin USB AB wire (I guess it really was built for audio), I purchased the AudioQuest Cinnamon USB hoping it would be the fix. So far so good.
Pros: It works well with no cut outs.
Cons: The connectors are small and are not a snug fit. They work but hopefully this will not be an issue long-term.

It would be most helpful if I could tell you how this compares to the same cable in green or carbon-alas, I can't help you there. I do want to mention that some reviewers complain about the stiffness of the cable. I don't find this to be problematic. It doesn't pull either end out, and it snakes around the side and back of my desk connecting my computer to my DAC without any trouble. Compared to the green cable rca version, it is only slightly stiffer.

Smooth crystal clear highs, with deep detailed bottom end. Really opened up the sound stage. This thing wasn't cheap but we always get what we pay for, and considering the difference it made in my audio it was more than worth it.

Good the cable...but stiff
Stewart from Dallas, TX on 3/8/2019
I like and trust AudioQuest cables. - Work and sound good, although moderate price. I have a pair of Forrest (shorter length). I can't tell difference in sound between the two. As noted in reviews, this cord is rather stiff which makes it less user friendly...my application running from Amp to couch - doesn't effect me. But might cause some issues with some...The green Forrest is much more flexible.
Pros: Solid cable Reputable company Sounds good
Cons: Stiff cable - especially compared to Forest (green) Pricey - Forest might sound as good?

This Cable Made a Difference
Spuds from Idaho on 4/14/2015
How important are cables to the quality of sound? Very! Not snake oil at all, as it turns out. Learned that lesson sometime back with analog cables. But I was still skeptical of how much difference a digital USB cable could make and was poised to return it in a heartbeat if I didn't hear an appreciable difference. (I bought the shortest Cinnamon USB cable I could to replace the cable that came with my NAD 1050-D [DAC], which I had been listening to for 3 months.) I'm pleased to say that I absolutely could tell the difference when I swapped them out. Since then I bought another one for my Audioengine D1 DAC which came with a better USB cable than what came with the NAD, and I could still hear the difference!
Pros: More sparkle in the highs, tighter bass, more midrange detail, wider sound stage---a step up into higher quality sound without breaking the bank.
Cons: Price may still be a deterrent for those who've never got to audition high-end cables with cheaper ones before in an A/B comparison.

AQ Cinnamon USB 1.5M
RCBinTN from Tennessee on 2/27/2015
I bought this cable to upgrade from the PYST cable. It connects my Macbook to the Gungnir DAC. Occasionally, during normal playing of music (and no messing around with the gear) the DAC will drop out and the music will play over the computer speakers. Then it reverses, back to the DAC. I was advised this event is usually caused by a defective USB cable. I do not experience it with the old PYST USB cable. I think the AQ cables are decent quality, but I have some Forest cables and they are more flexible and work fine. Not sure the upgrade to the higher silver content makes much of a difference. This cinnamon cable is much stiffer than my Forest cables. When the DAC is working, the SQ is very good.

I noticed a immediate improvement over the stock USB cable provided with my DAC. I have many cables and components in my system I needed better emi protection. This got me that for a great price.
Pros: Affordable improvement.
Cons: None I can notice.

I am a firm believer in the fact that audio cable does make a difference in sound. I have experienced it first hand. I have an AudioQuest Cinnamon USB and an AudioQuest Forest USB. They make a difference! However, I can't tell a difference between the two. In other words, for my applications, the Forest works as well as the Cinnamon. It's also more flexible than the Cinnamon, making the Forest easier to manipulate in protable devices.
Pros: Makes an improvement in sound.
Cons: Unable to hear difference in Forest v Cinnamon?

Subtle, but yes a difference
Tom from Rochester NY on 5/29/2012
Got this cable along with several other Audioquest products when I was doing some finishing touches for my latest system upgrades. This cable feeds a nuForce udac2, and replaces the nuForce cable included with the dac. There is a bit more depth in the music, though seems clarity is close to the same. Worth the price? From a cheap usb cable to this one, definitely yeah. Maybe not so much going from the nuforce cable, nuForce provided a surprisingly good cable. But I've gravitated to the Audioquest Cinnamon line for a lot of my AV cables -- not cheap but also not in the absurd price range, a good balance IMO. With the systems I've put together the last few years, the emphasis has been on quality, and if it costs a bit to get subtle improvements, then so be it -- they add up.
Pros: well made, good connections, clean sound transferred to the dac
Cons: none
