If you're wondering how to get a digital audio signal from your computer's mini-optical output to the full-sized Toslink optical input on your A/V receiver or DAC, AudioQuest's Cinnamon Toslink-to-mini-optical cable is a high-quality solution. This cable is a great choice for use with the 3.5mm dual-purpose headphone jack found on MacBook® and iMac® models. The core of the Cinnamon is a finely polished, low-distortion polymer fiber conductor that minimizes signal loss and jitter (time-based distortion).
I use this between my tv and B&W A7. I think I have pretty discerning ear, and have so far been nothing but happy with the sound quality this provides.

Audioquest OptiLink-Cinnamon Series Optical-to-3.5mm Cable: Audioquest OptiLink-Cinnamon Toslink-to-mini-optical cables feature a thoroughly engineered, finely polished synthetic polymer fiber conductor to minimize signal loss and jitter (time-based distortion). The plug's brass ferrule also contributes to ideal light transmission and the highest quality sound. The conductor is surrounded by flexible black PVC with a black and red nylon braid. Each connector has a clear plastic protector that should be removed before use.

Returned AQ 703CIUSB5 on order 42584918 as it wasn't the correct cable for my application. The AQ Optilink is the correct cable. I've had good results from AQ cables before. [ John M. Apr 18, 2016 ]
Yamaha stereo receivers can have a widely different set of audio inputs. Because of this, the only way to know if this cable can work is to call an advisor on 1-800-324-9695 to discuss your TV, Yamaha receiver, and content you view on the TV to figure out which cable will work.
