Great cables at reasonable price. I wanted to eliminate any possible interference in system that I was having, which was achieved from this cable and others I replaced as my cables were showing there age. Even one of them had a broken wire on it. All my cables now have been replaced. Audio Quest are great products.

This was my first OptiLink cable purchase so I was excited to get it hooked up. I am using it to connect a pair of Sennheiser RS 175 Headphones to a LG OLED 55" CX in our spare room. I am a big fan of Audioquest in general and have purchased several of their cables over the years and as expected this one lives up to their reputation. It provides excellent sound quality, secure connection, and is braided for extra durability. For a fair price from an excellent company with awesome customer service.

I've heard a lot about the benefits of using an Optical Digital Cable but never took the plunge until now. I'm about to purchase a 4k UHD TV and it won't have RCA jacks for analog audio. I, therefore, needed a cable. Had some reward points and decided to use them for this cable. Decided to connect my Onkyo CD player to my Onkyo receiver to test it (since I haven't purchased the TV yet). The cable was a easy to install into the proper jacks. Well, the sound difference is incredible! I have 2 pairs of Klipsch speakers: Synergy F3's and Reference 7 II's. Highs are crisper, Mids are cleaner and the bass is smoother. All I can say is WOW. Thank you Crutchfield for another awesome purchase!

Upgrading to a Martin Logan soundbar was a big deal to me. Adding this optical cable was even bigger. It brought the Sound bar to life as I had never heard it before. Great cable for a great price. The 10 feet of digital optical cable ("toslink") I ordered from Crutchfield came absolutely on time and was just what the (HiFi) doctor ordered. The cable looked and operated perfectly.
Pros: Crutchfield's delivery of optical digital cable was both on time and of high quality. The same was true of the Yamaha amp I ordered previously. Based on these experiences, I've found an alternative to other retailers.

Replacing my 20-year-old stereo, a lot of this newfangled technology was new to me, but I was interested in making the most of my newish high-end Samsung TV and bluray player, not to mention my new stereo. Previously sound was routed HDMI to the TV and RCA to the amp, which still works fine if I don't want to turn on the stereo, but now audio is routed directly to a new Yamaha stereo receiver via optical for hi-fi music and movie playback and I must say the sound is excellent. Louder too. Tip #1: Read the directions. I spent 10 minutes trying to figure out how to remove the covers on the optical jacks, finally dawned on me -- after I got better lighting and put on my glasses -- they are FLAPS! Duh. :-) Tip #2: I failed to notice the tiny plastic cap at each end of the cable to protect the lenses, and when I first turned on my new stereo it sounded terrible, thought I had REALLY screwed something up! :-) Thankfully the caps didn't come off inside the components.
Pros: Superior sound and volume, easy installation.
Cons: I realize there are much costlier opticals out there, but this still seems pretty pricey for such a small (in diameter and length) cable.

The most significant difference between this one and my older but rather pricey optical cables was that this one slid into the slot with a snap. My old sound system used to quit working and I couldn't figure out why until I would find the optical cable laying on the floor behind my system. This on fits snug and sound great. I know the quality of the cable and connections are better than my old ones but the fact that it will stay in place to keep the sound going is just as important.

Very nice sturdy cable. Had been using RCA analog cables from cable box to HK receiver. Swapped out for this optical cable. The results were immediate. I was watching the golf channel and I was missing a lot of the broadcast because it was lost in the analog, the sound for just the TV is worth the change, but the music is where the cable shines. The staging and voicing of instruments really came to life.

Cons: You'll miss what you're hearing if you go somewhere that isn't set up like this.

We have the AQ Evergeen cables for RCA and toslink applications. Find them to be good quality with solid connectors while being reasonably priced. AQ has much higher-ended cables for your selection, quite a bit more expensive, but for us the Evergeen is just fine. We use this cable to output digital sound from our Samsung HDTV into our headphone DAC, so we can listen to movies and DVD's with the headphones. The 3M length is perfect for that connection. I needed a digital optical cable to connect my new Sony TV to a surround sound receiver. I did not want to spent $200 or more for one of the many optical cables available. I just wanted sound out of my TV and this AudioQuest "forest" (as in very low cost) was just what I needed. The cable works well and serves the purpose without spending hundreds of dollars just for a cable. For those audiophiles that have unlimited funds, there are more expensive audio cables just for you. I recommend this "forest" model cable if you need a digital audio cable at a reasonable price.

We bought the JBL 200 sound bar ,great sound improvement over the TV speakers ,looks great ,.love it And the blue tooth work so easy with our iPad and iPhone ,for our music. Also very pleased with the support from Crutchfield it was not that easy for to set up but with there help we got it going .There is still and issue with our Dish DVR ,,speakers go silent still when you use it ,working on it . If you buy a JBL 200 you will need a longer fiber optic cable the one that comes with barely reaches . You would just think that JBL would spend a dollar or 2 more and give you a longer cable !!!!! I give it 5 stars if it were not for the cable, and instructions other wise 5 stars

I really didn't know much about AudioQuest but needed a good quality digital optical cable. Some optical cables I have had in the past were subject to problems. This cable attached cleanly and solidly and worked flawlessly right out of the box.

This cable does what it is supposed to do and provides sound you would expect. Make sure you attach the ends to the equipment tightly.
Pros: Reasonable Price for a quality cable
Cons: A little hard to attach to my TV but it did fit my speaker system properly.
