A
Because I got a Blue Jean cable one and it did not work, it was poorly built and would not transmit sound continuously, it was more expensive to return and pay for shipping than what the refund would have been. I already had a shorter audioquest optical forest and it has always worked great. [ Omar  Apr 15, 2016 ]

Q
I have a cable box that has optical digital output but the cable from the receiver that I have that plugs into the cable box is a digital audio cable. Do you have an adapter or cable that is optical digital on one end (for the cable box) and is a female digital audio connection on the other end?
[ Mike  Dec 27, 2015 ]

A
Hi, The only optical cables I've seen are either a male optical end or male toslink end like the cable shown in the picture. I don't have experience with a female optical end, but the technical folks at Crutchfield can answer that question for sure. Enjoy your music, RCB
