Customer Q&A

Crutchfield asked: Why did you buy this?
I chose these splitters because I just upgraded the cables in my truck to Golden Gate RCA and I need to split two channels from my processor to add another amplifier to power a center channel speaker and I didn't want to use an inferior splitter, hopefully they will fit the bill, according to reviews I read these will do it. better quality than a cable splitter [ jacques  Nov 27, 2019 ]
I'm hoping to add a extra input to a Jolida soundstage expander which only has three. If there's no interference between the powered up unit and the unit that is powered off I will continue using the splitters. [ Michael  Sep 01, 2019 ]
To split an RCA out. Now I will have a R and L unbalanced to go to my tube amp as well as sub woofer [ Scott  Aug 23, 2019 ]

I have atube amp with only one input. This allows me to have phono and cd without pulling jacks out . [ Christopher  Jun 29, 2018 ]
I recently purchased a used Technics 1200Mk2 turntable. Since my conrad johnson preamp only has one phono input I'm going to try to connect both the Technics and my VPI HWIII turntable into the single phono input (lefts on one splitter and rights on one splitter). Naturally I'll only play one at a time so there shouldn't be a problem - or so I'm hoping. [ Robert  Jun 18, 2018 ]

I'm setting the system back up after a few years in storage and can't find some of my adaptors. These appear to be good quality and have some nice reviews so I'm going to try them. [ KENNETH  Oct 10, 2017 ]

I am going to use this to split an output signal from an old amp to send to two different subs. [ BRIAN T  Mar 01, 2017 ]
I need to add capacitance to my phono stage; this will allow me to add small capacitance shunts from DB System into the signal chain to increase capacitance without using longer cables. [ Ed  Feb 27, 2017 ]

4 questions already asked

Could this be used if there was only a single INPUT to a Headphone amp but you had two seperate sources, a DAC from a Computer, and a phono stage from a turntable?
[ Michael  Jan 05, 2020 ]
1 answer
That is not advisable. as it could have unforseen complications and signal interference. This is not a RCA 'switch'. You should reach out to an advisor to explore proper options for your application:

will this work to add 2 subwoofers?
[ New User  Dec 26, 2019 ]

yes. when using 2 (or more) subs, make sure the subs are identical. that is, do not mix brands or even models. the sound patterns can get really distorted.
[ Mr.  Dec 26, 2019 ]
Hi Chris. This works great for just that. I used them to connect two powered subs to a single Chanel. Works perfectly!
[ Tony  Dec 26, 2019 ]
Hey Chris, I would think so. If the sub does not have another was of daisy chaining 2 subs or more, try it. I am using these exact splitters to do the Schroeder Method of utilizing 2 sets of interconnects for each run between components. The sound, in this case, is just considerably better in all ways with no drawbacks. You need a splitter on each end of each set of ICs. Never have used these with subs, however. The concept is most likely not the same either. Good luck. Bob

Is this sold as a stereo pair?

[ Andrew  Apr 06, 2019 ]
no, this is a single splitter for a single line out such as sub output, but if you want to split a stereo signal then you will need to puchase two of them.... Marvin
[ MARVIN  Apr 05, 2019 ]
No, it comes as a single piece
[ Markarid  Apr 05, 2019 ]
No, you'll need two for a stereo pair.
[ Gregory  Apr 05, 2019 ]
Hi. No. It's a single unit. If I remember correctly I ordered 4 of these and received 4. I'm using them for my subs. The male end plugs in the sub. One female gets the cable from the surround processors and the other female gets a short cable that plugs into the other sub. I hope that helps
[ Tony  Apr 05, 2019 ]
It is a single adapter that converts one RCA connector to two. To convert 2 RCA adapters to 4 will require a second unit.
[ RICHARD  Apr 05, 2019 ]
I believe you would have to buy two.

Overall, about 1 1/2" and will stick out just over 1 1/4" when plugged into the amp.
