About the AudioQuest Rocket 33

If you're using Rocket 33 cables for your main right and left speakers, it only makes makes sense to use it for your center channel, too. This single non-bi-wire cable is just what you need.

Solid conductors improve accuracy and clarity
Each of the cable's six conductors is a single, unbroken strand of pure copper, which ensures highly efficient signal transfer with minimal loss. Solid conductors eliminate electrical and magnetic interference that can add brittleness to the sound of multi-strand conductor cables.

Precise cable geometry
The Rocket 33 uses a precise combination of different size conductors: 21-, 19-, and 17-gauge conductors for the high-frequency signal, and 20-, 18-, and 16-gauge conductors for the low-frequency signal. This difference in diameter reduces the possibility of distortion caused by any particular conductor's sonic "signature." A specialized spiral arrangement of the three conductors in each bundle minimizes potential signal interaction, resulting in sound that's clearer and more dynamic.

Product Research

Long-Grain Copper/Perfect-Surface Copper: Rocket 33 uses a combination of Long-Grain Copper (LGC) and high-purity Perfect-Surface Copper (PSC). All conductors are solid to prevent strand interaction, a major source of distortion.

Double Star-Quad Geometry: The relationship between conductors defines a cable's most basic electrical values (capacitance and inductance). However, even when those variables are kept in a reasonable balance, the relationship between conductors can be varied in ways that greatly affect the sound. The Double Star-Quad construction of Rocket 33 cables results in better dynamic contrast and information intelligibility than the same conductors run in parallel.

Spread-Spectrum Technology (SST): Any single size or shape of conductor has a specific distortion profile. Even though radially symmetrical conductors (solid or tubular) have the fewest discontinuities, any conductor of a particular size does have a sonic signature. SST is a method of reducing the awareness of these character flaws by using a precise combination of different sized conductors. The three different SST-determined conductor sizes used in Rocket 33 cables allow an exceptionally clear, clean and dynamic sound.

Customer Q&A

5 questions already asked

The photo shows pin connectors, not banana connectors. Which connector does it ship with?
[ Gary  Mar 30, 2023 ]
1 answer
The photo shows a type of adjustable-width banana connector, which AudioQuest refers to as "suregrip" connectors. These connectors are intended to be inserted into a speaker terminal in the same way as a typical, non-adjustable banana connector. They are too large to be used as pin connectors.

what makes this cable specific for center speaker?
[ ANSON  Dec 13, 2020 ]
1 answer
This AudioQuest Rocket 33 cable has the same overall construction as the other AudioQuest Rocket 33 series cables. This particular cable is designated as use for a center channel speaker because it's sold individually instead of in pairs.

How do you connect the rocket 33 to a focal aria 948 speaker terminals?
[ Arnel  Mar 12, 2020 ]
1 answer
You would have to use the single, center channel Rocket 33 as the Aria 948 does not have dual binding posts. They will accept the banana plugs though.
[ CASEY  Mar 28, 2020 ]  Staff
Can you use this AudioQuest Rocket 33 speaker cable for front speakers? I don't want to bi-wire my front speakers.
[ JOE  Aug 17, 2018 ]
1 answer
Yes, I'm using my rocket 33 on my Paradigm 55c center channel speaker and it sounds great. My left and right fronts l used the rocket 33 bi-wired, in hindsight I would have bi-wired my center speaker, is it a big deal? No these cables are great, you will hear the difference. Enjoy.
[ MARK  Aug 20, 2018 ]
Is there a bi-wire AudioQuest Rocket 33 Center Channel speaker cable available?
[ GREG  Jun 25, 2015 ]
1 answer
I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: Unfortunately there is not. If you would like to discuss further you can contact an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat.
