About the Boyo VTW43M
One smart mirror
One smart mirror
Boyo knows that the last thing you need on your dash is more stuff. Their Boyo VTW43M replacement mirror is a convenient solution when adding a multimedia receiver isn't an option. Its built-in Wi-Fi Miracast allows you to mirror your Android™ or iPhone® screen on the mirror's 4.3" monitor. It's a great way to keep an eye on your favorite navigation app.
Two video inputs
The mirror blends seamlessly with most vehicle interiors and automatically dims or brightens depending on the time of day. The monitor features two video inputs for front- and rear-view cameras, and control is easy thanks to touchscreen controls and a remote control for adjusting parking lines and more.
Installation will require the replacement of your factory rear-view mirror, and running wire for power and video between the Boyo VTW43M mirror and any video source. If you have not attempted this kind of job before, professional installation is recommended.

If it weren't for an update, it would be 4.9999999 stars (not 5 because it's not auto dimming). I have an Android Galaxy Note for work and an iPhone 6 for my personal phone (but recently upgraded to the 7plus). None of these phones work with this mirror, although the iPhone 6 worked for a few days until the iOS update happened. Pros: Easy to install Simple design I LOVE the hidden screen feature It worked well with Apple iOS (before the iOS update) It still works for my backup camera Cons Never worked with my Android iOS update makes the mirror almost useless to me Tech Suport can't figure out how to get either OS's to work and don't know how to update the firmware because it's still a very new mirror to Crutchfield. If you ONLY want this mirror for a backup camera screen, totally get it. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else who wants to use the mirror for the rest of the advertised features. Side note- If they addded a forward facing cash camera AND all of it's advertised features worked, I'd give it a 10/5. Yes, you read that right.

I wanted to install a rearview camera in my 12 Wrangler but did not want to replace the base radio or add the clutter of a separate monitor. The Boyo rear view mirror monitor was an ideal solution and easy to install. Excellent picture quality. I thought that miracasting gps apps to the mirror would be a bit of a distraction when driving but it is not. Overall the install was quick and the appearance looks like factory.

More details on the Boyo VTW43M
Rearview Mirror-Monitor: The BOYO VTW434M combines a 9.75" rearview mirror with an inset 4.3" LCD monitor (480 x 272) to the left side of the mirror. The thickness of the mirror's glass is 4mm; its highly reflective and strong enough to resist impact.
Note: The rearview mirror-monitor comes with a universal mounting bracket. Crutchfield also offers a variety of vehicle specific mounting brackets which can be purchased separately (see accessory list). In addition to these brackets, you'll also need a windshield mount repair kit which can be purchased at most auto parts store (sold separately).
Auto Brightness & Picture Adjustment: Automatic brightness adjustment helps you see a clear image day or night. You can also manually adjust the LCD monitor's brightness, contrast, color.
Screen Mirroring: The BOYO VTW434M allows you to mirror your Apple iOS iPod/iPhone/iPad (via AirPlay) or Android smartphone/table (via Miracast) on the rearview mirror's 4.3" LCD monitor. This allows you to view navigation apps, videos, and photos on the rearview mirror-monitor. If an audio signal is present, then the audio will also be sent along with the video signal.
Camera Input w/ Auto Switching: The BOYO VTW434M features a composite video jack for its camera input, so you can add an external backup camera (sold separately). It also features automatic rear-view switching. This means that when you place your vehicle in reverse gear, the rearview mirror-monitor will automatically switch over to the backup camera's video signal so you can see what's behind you immediately.
Video Input: In addition to the composite video camera input, the rearview mirror-monitor features a second composite video input for connecting a front dash camera (sold separately) or other external video source (sold separately).
Audio Output: The rearview mirror-monitor is equipped with a built-in speaker and also features a set of stereo RCA outputs. The stereo RCA outputs can be used to send the rearview mirror-monitor's audio signal to your vehicle's car stereo system (your car stereo must be equipped with an Aux input).
Remote Control: The BOYO VTW434M comes with an IR remote control for wireless operation of this rearview mirror-monitor.
Mounting Options: The BOYO VTW434M rearview mirror-monitor replaces your vehicle's existing factory rearview mirror. The rearview mirror-monitor's mounting bracket offers adjustable tilt & swivel.
