Klipsch speaker technology inside
The CA-800T sports Klipsch's Tractrix® horn speaker technology for clear highs that project. The 1" titanium dome tweeter is loaded in a square-mouthed horn that allows you to place the speakers either vertically or horizontally using the integrated mounting brackets. Features
Commercial Outdoor Speaker: The Klipsch CA-800T commercial outdoor loudspeaker delivers big time sound and worry free performances. Designed for distributed audio applications, this amazing little speaker is equally at home in outdoor or indoor background music and paging applications in both commercial and recreational environments. This commercial all-weather speaker perfect for patios, decks, swimming pools, porches, or any other place where exposure to the elements makes conventional loudspeaker usage unsuitable.
Two-Way Driver Design: The Klipsch CA-800T all-weather loudspeaker is a two-way design using a high performance bass driver for the low frequencies. It features a 8" IMG cone woofer and 1" titanium dome tweeter coupled to a square-mouth 90° x 90° Tractrix Horn for clean and efficient reproduction of the high and midrange frequencies.
All-Weather Enclosure: Available in black or white this speaker has a durable UV-resistant all-weather enclosure. The CA-800T's updated grille design stays securely fastened and incorporates a new paint formulation for increased weather resistance and years of maintenance-free protection regardless of the climate or environment.
Multi-tap Transformer: The CA-800T includes a 60-watt multi-tap transformer for 70- or 100-volt installations. There is also a bypass position that allows normal 8-ohm operation for installations that do not require a transformer. The transformer has a rotary switch for setting the appropriate tap setting:
- 70-Volt Settings: 60 watts, 30 watts, 15 watts, 7.5 watts, 3.7 watts
- 100-Volt Settings: 60 watts, 30 watts, 15 watts, 7.5 watts
- Bypass Setting: 8 ohm nominal
4 Connectors: Connections are provided via four-position barrier strips. This allows an installer to use two connectors for inputs and two for pass-throughs making it easier to daisy chain. The speaker's improved input cup allows for easier drainage.
Mounting Bracket: The included heavy-gauge C-style mounting bracket is corrosion-resistant powder coated zinc and offers great placement flexibility. It allows you to rotate the speaker almost 180° after mounting, letting you direct the sound as needed. The speaker should be mounted to a wall stud using 2-1/2" to 3" #10 or #12 pan-head screws (not included). If the speaker is mounted vertically, the bracket allows it to swivel side to side. If the speaker is mounted horizontally, the bracket allows it to swivel up and down. The speaker's shape makes corner placement easy. Once positioned, the speaker can be locked down at the desired angle with the oversized knobs on the top and bottom of the speaker. In addition, a pair of Nylock nuts are included for additional security.
Note: In addition to the mounting bracket, the CA-800T has a 3/8"-16 threaded insert for use with optional mounts to give you greater mounting flexibility.
