The Klipsch Heritage Headphone amp provides your music with an outstanding balanced or unbalanced inputs that is well worth the price. I highly recommend this unit especially when paired with Klipisch Heritage headphones.

First of all I love Sonos products and Klipsch Heritage Speakers the little Heresy one. Apple Music I have. I bought the H3 headphones earlier this month. I have enjoyed them. Music sounds fine plugged into all devices. Headphone amplifier? Why? Seems unnecessary! The expense of some of them are astronomical. The Heritage Amplifier costs more than many very adequate home theater receivers full of options. I had the Headphones and these were expensive enough. The headphone amplifier was made specifically for their H3 headphones. The set up as I have it now? A connect from Sonos is set to the optical on the amplifier. An old KLH fm tuner is connected to the analog input on the amp. The headphone amp analog out put is connected to the analog input of a Klipsch Stadium AirPlay and blue tooth speaker. The speaker has all functions as active. The headphone amp is simply an incredible device to plug headphones into. The headphones reveal sound as if you really were there. It is like listening to a pair of Klipschorns. Switching to line the Stadium speakers sound even better than they ever did. It is a magic box. Now my headphone experience with the Klipsch H3 and this matching amp it is my preferred way of intimately listening to music. Speakers as great as they are to listen to they can not match the H3 headphones coupled with the Heritage amplifier. The headphone amplifier I was skeptical about! No more as it is worth the experience and the expense it is built to last!
Pros: It is the best listening experience I have ever encountered. It sounds like you are there with the musicians. All sources sound good or better, connected to this amp.
Cons: None, but be careful of the volume. I would recommend using the volume setting on the headphone Amplifier as it is a click on/off switch as well. Always go low to where the gain is right for listening.

A great little amp/dac!

The whole DAC/AMP conversation is something you could talk to on forums and with friends and maybe never get a clear understanding of what's good enough to be a pleasure to use without breaking the bank or wanting for more. Separate DAC? High-end amp? Agitated wife? - Ugh. Then there's this little beauty. It's really nice. Clean, powerful and a touch of good looks often lost from a lot of modern gear. It's warm looking and sounding - but not too much. It suits a lot of music you want to really sit and listen to for an extended session or a few tracks. I paired mine with Sennheiser HD800S headphones and I'm not looking back. I use RoonLabs and a Raspberry Pi for an endpoint connecting the Klispch Heritage via a toslink cable and control it all from my phone or ipad. The Klispch Heritage is just a pleasure to use. Nice solid knob, easy volume control and a little heft for a little unit. Best of all it easily fits where you might want it without looking out of place. Less to dust too! I highly recommend looking at it against the more expensive and separate DAC/AMP option. I think you'll find this hits the sweet spot of your listening needs and budget.
Pros: Powerful, Warm, Clean Sounding, Compact
Cons: None So Far

This headphone amp is a pure joy to use! The volume knobs and those switches gives you a sense of total control that you don't get with other amps with their digity-feel buttons and jog-dial style "volume knobs". This amp FEELS very analog. Technically this is a sound amp. The specs of the components way exceed what a human ear can ever perceive (which is the way it should be). What I really appreciate is the designer's consideration for various kinds of headphones: balanced and un-balanced outputs for you to choose. Low-Z and High-Z switch comes in REALLY handy when you have 32-ohms and 600-ohms headphones in your collection. This amp gives you enough power to drive your biggest headphones with ease! Sound quality is of course excellent, this should be a given. In this day and age, it is technically trivial to make a headphone amp that sounds perfect. Your headphone should be the limiting factor, not the headphone amp, as long as the power-level of the amp is sufficient (which it is in this case)
Pros: Feel of the product is excellent (knobs and switches) Internal PCBA looks very solid and well-thought-out Perfect sound quality (as it should be)
Cons: Golden color may stand out too much.

Pretty decent, slightly overpriced if compared to a monoprice equivalent. The fit and finish is solid though.

This is my first dedicated headphone amp, the standard previously just plugging headphones into whatever portable device I have. Ordered this alongside the HP-3 as I like their style (and after paying for the HP-3 may as well go all the way for the full experience right? :)). This amp actually arrived before the headphones so I took the time to set it up and and use it with my previously purchased x20i's. This amp is very well built, it feels very solid, switches feel amazing, volume knob buttery smooth, headphone plug even feels particularly satisfying plugging into the unbalanced port. Tried out the digital coaxial mode through an iBasso DX50 DAP along with also setting up the USB on a Surface Book. Both methods work extremely well. On the PC I ended up using foobar as the music player with the wasapi plugin which would bitstream DSD along with keeping the PCM audio as clean as possible. It's plug and play so didn't need to install anything to select it for use. I wasn't really sure what to expect using the x20i headphones with the amp, the only other device I really ever used those on is the iBasso DX50, which I figured sounded pretty perfect. With as little room for improvement as I thought there was, there is indeed room for improvement. Plugging those little IEMs into this amp results in a noticeably cleaner sound, headphones sounded very clean. Ended up spending more time with this than I thought I would as everything just sounded so pleasin
