Home theater-like sound from compact, go-anywhere headphones
The Klipsch XR8i hybrid in-ear headphones use dual drivers to serve up powerful home theater-like sound on the go.
I find myself watching shows, movies, and videos on my tablet, computer, or phone more than ever before. The Klipsch XR8i hybrid in-ear headphones use a dual-driver combo to re-create Klipsch's signature home theater experience in a portable design. They're part of the Indianapolis-based company's reference "X series" lineup. Imagine binge-watching on Netflix or HBO NOW at night and getting the powerful, immersive impact of a roomful of Klipsch speakers. Without keeping everyone in the house awake!
Each earbud includes two types of drivers. A balanced armature driver is tuned to cover highs and mids, ensuring movies and music sound clear and realistic. At the same time, a down-firing 6.5mm dynamic driver acts as a subwoofer, delivering tight, muscular bass.
Durable and comfortable
These 'phones sport a rock-solid design to complement their heavy-duty sound. The enclosures are made of rugged materials that can survive listening or watching on the go. To keep you comfortable, Klipsch angled the earpieces for a better fit, and they included five sizes of their patented soft oval ear tips. They conform to the shape of your ear canal to isolate your music from outside noise and provide proper bass response.

Klipsch XR8i reviews
I am definitely not a fan of the packaging & for this price. there aren't a lot of accessories to go around. But now for the real evaluation, these IEM'S (in ear monitors) are very solid as far as the the build quality is concerned, the iPhone controller could have been left off to as far as I'm concerned. The sound quality is very balanced and natural sounding, you must remember that klipsch has been building loud speakers for a very long time...so they know what there doing. these IEM'S have a dynamic and an armature driver, now i recently learned the difference between the two...if you want that deep low bass you want headphones that have a dynamic driver in them, its almost like having an actual round speaker in them, armature drivers on the other hand are made more like rectangular cubes for more of a precise sound and they don't provide the same type of bass thump. Before i bought the klipsch i had purchased the audio fly af160's which has 3 armature drivers in them along with a passive crossover....needless to say i wasn't impressed, my klipsch image s2's blew them away in the bass category. Im running these off an fiio E12 mout blanc headphone amp with the bass boost enabled, depending on what you're listening to, the bass in these babies really do sound like you have a subwoofer playing in your head without sounding to boomy...the mids and highs that come from the armature driver aren't overly bright or harsh, they play pretty flat and sound natural
Pros: these provide plenty of bass for in ear headphones & they play better with a headphone amp (i recommend getting one to get the most out of them)...i recommend buying if you don't mind the price.
Cons: comfort wise these are okay, if you place them snuggly in your ear they seal off the outside pretty good and you definitely won't hear anything but the music when they're in use...the mids and high could use a slight bump up, but that depends on your personal listening preference.
