Great Cable Management Solution

Steve from La Plata, MD on 12/30/2017

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These organizers are a fantastic way to conceal cables if in-wall installation is not viable option. I installed along a baseboard unpainted, and after a few days I no longer notice them. They also take paint well (I used a trim roller for a smooth finish), and the adhesive so far grips very well. The junction pieces also fit perfectly and take paint well. The only criticism I have is that it's tough to get a smooth cut, at least with a hacksaw. But the end will typically be covered with a junction piece so it's not really a big deal.

Works pretty well. A little difficult to cut evenly to customize length, and a few more corner pieces might be helpful, but overall it was easy to install & makes the room look much cleaner.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I was looking for something to conceal the speaker wires from my surrounds and Kyle suggested this product. It works great. You can cut channels to size and the peel and stick is awesome. I did find that once it sticks to the wall you can't really adjust it but I did manage to keep it level as it went along the wall.

Pros: Works as advertised.

Cons: It sticks very fast.

Why did you buy this?

It looks pretty. [ R  Dec 15, 2017 ]

I am reorganizing my media center and need to hide cables along the baseboard [ Dallas  Jul 06, 2017 ]
Nice streamlined way to route power cord and ethernet cable up table leg and across the bottom of conference tables. Self adhesive, and easy to work with [ Arthur  May 30, 2017 ]
Seems ideal for my need to hide 3 Cables feeding from my over the Fireplace mounted TV to the Entertainment Center beside it [ Kenneth  Feb 27, 2017 ]
I've bought it before and find it extremely easy to use and effective at its purpose. [ Keith  Oct 11, 2016 ]

3 questions already asked

I did not attach the channels to a wall - I was concerned it might leave damage. I simply inserted the cables and placed the channels on the floor up against the wall. So I'm not able to answer your question. Suggestion: do a test in a wall area that's hidden to see if adhesive causes damage. [ Cynthia  Jul 07, 2018 ]
I did not run my channels on the wall, I used the baseboard and door moldings. In the picture shown, I would have ran them along the wall at the top of the countertop. The round molding is for one wire. It is hard to open. I much prefer the corner channels and the flat channels. I would paint them to match. No one even notices mine. It looks like additional molding. The adhesive is very grabby to hold the wires and channels. From my experience you should it expect it to remove paint from the wall. Plan it out ahead of time. I consider mine to be permanent. [ DOROTHY  Jul 07, 2018 ]
Yes it did on my drywall ....stupid me! [ Dallas  Jul 07, 2018 ]
In my experience the strips come off as easy as they go on. [ JASON  Jul 07, 2018 ]
The finish is what they refer to as an eggshell finish. Almost a satin. You could use a Kilz primer, but I would not bother. Think about it, how much rubbing is going on. If it is in a kitchen area that gets a lot of wiping and grease etc. I would leave it as it is. [ DOROTHY  Jul 07, 2018 ]
The appearance is matte and yes it is paintable. [ Tyrone  Sep 25, 2017 ]
The surface is smooth but not shiny. I think that standard wall paint would work well on this product. If you need it to be resistant to peeling, a good primer base coat is always a good idea. [ Chester  Sep 25, 2017 ]
I installed mine with the overlapping opening on top. I would hold one hand on the channel while you unlock the channel using a flat head screw driver, sliding it along the opening. Then I would hold it while gently pulling the wires out. It would be nice to have a second person helping. [ DOROTHY  Jul 07, 2018 ]
Yes, you can. One side of the plastic tube is not permanently connected. The edges just overlap, so you can peel them apart to remove or add cable. [ CRISTIAN  Jun 26, 2016 ]
Yes you can but I would not do it a lot of times. It also depends on where you have it installed and what wires you have. If you have a very tight fit it will be harder to take out and you will have possibility of pulling off the wall. [ Eli  Jun 26, 2016 ]
Yes [ Mark  Jun 26, 2016 ]
