2-Way Driver Design: The Legrand Nuvo Series Six NV-6IC6 in-ceiling loudspeaker utilizes a two-way driver design, featuring a 1" titanium hard-dome tweeter that pivots and one 6.5" carbon fiber/kevlar cone woofer with a butyl rubber surround for excellent audio performance with well-balanced and detailed sound.
- Pivoting Tweeter: The pivoting tweeter is mounted to a unique bridge and allows you to aim the tweeter at your targeted listening area.
- Tweeter Level: There is also a tweeter level adjustment switch on the front-baffle of the speaker (behind the grille) to tailor the tweeter output level (-3, 0, +3 dB).
Applications: The Nuvo Series Six NV-6IC6 in-ceiling loudspeaker serves well for home theater, two-channel stereo, and distributed audio applications. Thanks to its pivoting tweeter, the NV-6IC6 can be used as a front, center, and/or surround speaker in a home theater application.
Magnetic Grille: The Nuvo NV-6IC6 comes with a low-profile, rimless grille that attaches magnetically to the front-baffle of the in-ceiling speaker. The grille features a white finish, but can be painted to match your ceiling. The low-profile, magnetic grille only protrudes 0.1875" from the ceiling.
Spring-Post Terminals: The Nuvo NV-6IC6 in-ceiling loudspeaker is outfitted with a set of spring-post terminals to attach bare speaker wire (up to 12AWG), pin-connectors, or banana plugs (single only).
Mounting Options: The Series Six NV-6IC6 requires a circular cutout in the ceiling that measures 8.0625" (diameter) x 3.9375" (depth). Three swivel "dog-leg" clamps with integrated mounting screws secure the speaker in the ceiling. There needs to be at least 0.75" of clearance around the inside of the cutout to accommodate the swivel "dog-leg" clamps. The "dog-leg" clamps will accommodate up to 1.5" drywall thickness.
