Every home theater or music system deserves solid bass, but not every room has the space for a large self-powered sub. That's where in-wall subwoofers, like Nuvo's NV-SUBIW8, can come in handy. This subwoofer delivers punchy low-end while being discreetly tucked away inside your wall.
The NV-SUBIW8 uses an 8" high-output subwoofer for clean bass in smaller rooms. The woofer is enclosed in a non-resonant MDF cabinet, and despite the enclosure, the sub is only a smidge over 4" in depth. An installer-friendly design includes L-shaped anchors along the outer edges of the enclosure for a simple-yet-effective way of mounting the sub inside your wall.
Separate amp required
The 8" woofer is passive and requires external amplification. For the best results, you'll want to grab Nuvo's matching NV-SUBAMP200 amplifier. The SUBAMP200 is a powerhouse in its own right, boasting clean output, EQ options, and much more.

In-Wall 8" Passive Subwoofer: The Legrand Nuvo NV-SUBIW8 is an in-wall passive subwoofer with a high-output 8" cone woofer that delivers discrete, powerful bass for music and home theater applications. Pair up to two NV-SUBIW8 subwoofers with one of the Nuvo subwoofer amplifiers (NV-SUBAMP200 or NV-SUBAMP500 - both sold separately). The NV-SUBIW8 can also be used with other bands and models of subwoofer amplifiers (sold separately).
Sealed MDF Cabinet: The Nuvo NV-SUBIW8 features an acoustic suspension (sealed) cabinet that is constructed of durable MDF with an aluminum frame for a distortion-free, superior bass experience. A square magnetic, steel white grille is included (the grille is paintable).
Spring Post Terminals: The NV-SUBIW8 is outfitted with a set of spring post terminals that will accept bare wire (up to 12AWG) and pin-connectors. Due to the location and angle of the spring post terminal, banana plugs (single or dual) are not supported.
Mounting Options: The NV-SUBIW8 passive subwoofer requires a square cutout in the wall that measures 12.0" (w) x 12.0" (h) x 4.125" (d). Four swivel "dog-leg" clamps with integrated mounting screws around the enclosure secure the subwoofer in the wall. There needs to be at least 0.8125" of clearance around the inside of the cutout to accommodate the swivel "dog-leg" clamps. The "dog-leg" clamps will accommodate up to 1.5" drywall thickness.
