Bought 1 pair of the On-Q Speaker Binding Posts (black) and the On-Q Single-Gang Wall Plate (White) (4-Port), installed them in a shallow surface mount electrical box, they were perfect. Painted the wall plate black (Rustoleum Universal Advanced Paint and Primer Flat Black) to match the Binding Posts. Cosmetically it looks fantastic, the quality of the Binding Posts and the Wall Plate is excellent and very heavy duty, expect them to last for many years. The gold binding posts against the flat black really looks great.
Pros: Superior Quality, Easy Installation (even in shallow connection boxes), easy customization of installation to meet your technical and cosmetic requirements
Cons: None except for lack of availability of a black face plate.

Good quality binding posts. I was able to make solid connections with 14 AWG speaker wire.

On-Q speaker binding posts

They do the job but are somewhat cheaply made. They fit in the wall plate OK but again they are not tight fitting so the look is so so. I would say if this is for a garage or basement system then the price is right but if you want something that looks and acts like high quality for a living room system, for example, then look elsewhere.
