Upgrade to Dolby ATMOS

Really happy with this recommendation from Hogan at Crutchfield. I looked at several competing models, some less expensive, but after all the drama associated with finding someone to actually run some speaker wires for me, I wanted to do this once and right! They are a perfect match with my existing Boston Acoustic 5.1 system and round out my ATMOS upgrade. The grilles required no painting!

These disappearing in-ceiling speakers were a perfect compliment to my existing Definitive Technology system when I added a new Dolby Atmos receiver. They have great bass response and provide amazing overhead sound on movies like Deepwater Horizon. Installation of the speakers was easy and they are almost invisible once the grilles are in place. Highly recommended!

Pros: Easy to install, nearly invisible, amazing sound.

Cons: Running wires through my attic space wasn't easy!

Great for the space

I have a Marantz 7007R receiver. I set up a couple of B&W ceiling speakers in the family room. I'm driving the two Definitives 5.5 's off the same channel in my kitchen. They don't need the wattage to get the same great sound as the B&W's. For less than half the price of the B&W's and the space that they are playing in I'm very happy with the quality of sound that I get from them. As I play them I'm sure they will sound even better.

Pros: Perfect size and sound for a room 14' x 24'. I wouldn't consider anything else.

Cons: I'd stick with the 8" B&W's for my 20' x 20' family room.

Using as back channels with DI 5.5 LCR upfront. The back channels sound is amazing. Used mostly for TV/Movies. Clear and crisp. Could not be happier with the Surround sound we are getting now. Highly recommend. Great clean look when mounted. Get them.

Pros: Amazing sound Great clarity Looks great
