Complement your flat-panel TV with this slender center speaker
Build a complete on-wall speaker system for your flat-panel TV using the slim Mythos Seven as the center channel. It uses many of the same technologies found in Definitive's Mythos floor-standing speakers to provide a wide soundstage with pinpoint imaging, crystal-clear dialogue, and superb realism. And at just over 4" deep, this center channel speaker is made to be wall-mounted below today's slim TVs.
High-tech drivers for exceptionally detailed sound
At the center of the cabinet are two 3-1/2" midrange drivers surrounding a 1" dome tweeter. The pure aluminum dome tweeter produces extended highs that reveal nuance and shimmer without a trace of edginess. Flanking the midranges are two 3-1/2" bass radiators, which give the Mythos Seven better bass performance than you might expect from such a slim speaker. Die-cast aluminum baskets, a resonance-free PolyStone baffle, and proprietary damping technologies built into the cabinet ensure clean sound.
Gorgeous aircraft-grade aluminum cabinet
The enclosure is made of black hand-polished aluminum for a sleek look that'll go well with most modern décors. A rubber-tipped adjustable foot on the bottom of the cabinet allows you to aim the speaker upwards towards your listening position when placed on a low shelf.
Building a system
Team up the Mythos Seven with two Mythos Five floor-standing speakers or two Mythos Six on-wall speakers for the left and right channels, and the Mythos Gems as surround speakers. Add Definitive's SuperCube II, SuperCube III, or ProSub 800 subwoofers for hard-hitting bass.
Did you know?
Your new speakers will probably sound better after several weeks of use than they do right out of the box. That's because the material surrounding the woofers will loosen up, allowing the drivers to move more fully. Definitive Technology estimates a break-in period of 24 to 48 hours of playback before the speakers will deliver optimum sound quality. The Mythos Seven center-channel speaker also includes a wall-mounting bracket and an adjustable foot.

The drivers feature die cast Aluminum baskets, mono-polymer cones and finite element analysis optimized magnet structures for clear low distortion life-like sound. The drivers are pressure-coupled to two 3-1/2 inch planar Low-Bass Radiators for exceptional bass extension not normally found in slim on-wall loudspeakers of this size. The bass roll-off of the Mythos Seven is smooth and controlled, allowing it to seamlessly blend with a powered subwoofer, such as Definitive's SuperCubes, for audiophile-grade home theater power and precision. A 1-inch Pure Aluminum dome tweeter produces extended highs that reveal nuance and shimmer without a trace of edginess.
Break-In Period: The Mythos Seven will sound good right out of the box; however, an extended break-in period of 20-40 hours or more of playing is required to reach full performance capability. The break-in period allows the suspensions to work in and results in full bass, a more open midrange, and smoother high frequency reproduction.

It also includes hardware that allows you to place the speaker on the TV, on a shelf , or on a table top (surface must be at least 5-inches deep).

There is an adjustable rubber-foot on the bottom-rear of the speaker cabinet. when you set the center-channel speaker down, the speaker will lean back and rest on this foot. By varying how far you screw in-and-out the foot, you can adjust the vertical angle of the speaker. It is recommended that you aim the center-speaker so that it aims directly towards the height of the listeners' ears.
