I love these speakers. Excellent clarity of sound especially with the mids and highs. They are just perfect for living in a senior living apartment building 55 and older.. I got rid of my cm5s because the six and a half inch woofer created too much Bass. These with a 5-in woofer and a nice tweeter are a great fit for me!

I used the Crutchfield sound comparison tool to chose my new bookshelf speakers. I was trying to stay in the $1000 range for a pair of speakers but threw these B&W 707s into the mix. That was a mistake. Once I did this, none of the other speakers were good enough. I love a clear sounding speaker, but am not a fan of overly bright speakers. The highs from these speakers a crystal clear without the shrill that other very bright speaker can produce. So what you have is a warm, clear, comfortable speaker for hours of listening pleasure.
Pros: It's the tweeters that differentiate these speakers from all the rest.

I am really impressed with the crispness and the depth of the speakers. Granted my old speakers we're pretty tired out, replacing them with these is like rediscovering music all over again!

Beautiful and excellent. It almost makes me believe I don't need a subwoofer for playing organ music. Amazing and the amplifier is a bookshelf one, bi-amped.
Pros: Subwoofer may not be needed. A true bookshelf speaker, others are too tall for bookshelves.
Cons: Very expensive.

WOW! Love them!!! Out of the box highs slightly too bright but after a week settled down and now music Just melts. Highs crisp, mids just"reel you in" and lows incredible for such small speakers. We have B&W 804's upstairs and B&W's outside. They have lots to compete with and hold their own amazingly well. Very well built and look great. Well done B&W!

These speakers are still quite new and have between 25 and 30 hours of playing time on them. The are not completely broken in yet but already show great detail when chamber music, piano music, and vocals are played through them. In fact well -recorded music of any sort shows fine lower and midrange clarity, but there can be some harshness still present in the very highest treble notes. This is smoothing out though as they are played more. For such small speakers (5 1/4") they have excellent bass response and for just stereo listening do not need a subwoofer.
Pros: Great clarity especially in the mid range, beautiful too
Cons: Highest notes can be shrill but speakers are not broken in yet
