Don't let the negative comments influence you. The occasional problem, like with any product, does not define the whole. These are the most amazing speakers and you won't come close to replicating their sound with any $4K system. In that sense, they are a bargain. I came from a system with Linn speakers ($5K) and a Mark Levinson amp ($10K) that cost far more and did not sound as good as these. Plus, these connect easily to WiFi or Bluetooth and stream from whatever source you have (I use Tidal).
Pros: Sound is crystal clear with Tidal HiFi. The bass is surprisingly deep for a smallish speaker. The bonus is that the vocal clarity makes them excellent for movies, too.

These speakers are unbelievable. They look and sound absolutely awesome. Why did I ultimately return them? Two reasons: 1) My room is really large (20x30) and these seemed to struggle if I wanted it LOUD. Also I needed room EQ and these don't offer any way to do that. These would be perfect at low/mid volumes or all volumes in small/med rooms. They are really really good. 2) Something is a little buggy; sometimes they would refuse to respond after a song was paused. I had to power cycle both speakers a few times each day. Not the wifi. I think the speakers get confused coordinating with each other somehow. Perhaps a future software update will fix this. In short I highly recommend these for smaller/moderate rooms if you don't need room EQ. Foundation is a closed ecosystem that is excellent but you have to like it exactly like it is. There is no ability to tweak or grow it. It is like an audiophile-grade Bose system lol. Ultimately I purchased a more expensive traditional system which out-of-the-box does not sound as good as Foundation Duos yet, but I'm betting I can tweak and tune to achieve awesome sound in my environment.
Pros: 1. True audiophile sound. Astonishing. 2. Gorgeous looks.
Cons: 1. Not for huge rooms at high volumes. 2. No room EQ possible. 3. Needs software fix to eliminate freezing (updates are trivial to install via setup app). 4. Base is very hot 24x7. Purchase the gorgeous B&W speaker stands, or use a trivet if placing on a delicate/wood surface.

These speakers are awesome. The sound is amazing. The setup was simple as it took less than 5 minutes. Getting them out of the box was a pain. I still think they are quite expensive, but I figure I will get plenty of use out of them.
Pros: Sound, look, size and wireless
Cons: Very expensive!!

Well... The first pair made a crackling sound every minute or so at random. After talking with B&W customer service, resetting and testing they said the need to go back. So I contacted Crutchfield and the after confirming B&W verdict they shipped a replacement quickly. However, set #2 had a detached grill one one of the tweeters and a damaged membrane. So, contacting Crutchfield for set #3 and they will ship it (but did not bother to provide fast shipping for speakers that almost cost 4k and are now the 2d defective speakers). Not thrilled by either, Crutchfield could have sprung for faster shipping and B&W needs to be better QC - in any case for speakers of that price I am not thrilled. Hope three is a charm but so far very disappointed. However, the sound (minus crackles) was amazing) - IF they work properly and are not damaged... Therefore the 2d star.
Pros: Sound is amazing
Cons: Expensive and if you get a good pair is hit or miss - for that price!
