Bowers & Wilkins PI4

I have had the headphones for less than 5 months and they will no longer charge. Also, when they worked they would not stay on the noise cancelling mode that I selected - they would frequently switch to no noise cancelling or a different mode. I have been back and forth with B&W and have followed all of their suggestions but still no luck. Very disappointed in these headphones. I have several other over the ear B&W headphones including the wireless PX which I have had no problems with but these are useless.
Pros: They sounded good at first but that did not last long.
Cons: Will not hold a charge. Will not stay on the noise cancelling feature that I select.

Great sound, poor noise canceling (for me)
Crutchfield customer from Brookline, MA on 2/24/2020
The performance of noise cancelling earbuds depend highly on fit. Although these came with 3 sets of earpieces, none worked well for me. On a recent flight, I found that pressing slightly on each earbud made the sound cancelling effective, but as they naturally rested, noise cancelling was barely noticeable. However, these are well-made, up to B&W standard of quality, and the sound is magnificent.
Pros: Excellent sound clarity, especially in the mid to high range
Cons: Noise cancelling did not work well for me

Okay design. But that's it.

I have a set of Bose QuietControl 30 earphones that - like many have if you see reviews, are starting to fall apart. I need to replace them as I need something with longer battery life than the current fad in-ear devices from Apple and others. I thought I'd try these. The design looks good, and at first glance in the packaging, I was impressed. But the design... is it, and it's not great. They're too long - no matter what you do, they feel dangly around your neck. It's a strange design - perhaps trying to avoid the criticism Bose has gotten for too-short cables on the QC30's? The signal is good. The sound is crisp... but there's no bass and almost no midrange. I mean... nothing. It was really disappointing, as I expected so much more from these. I kept comparing to my dying QC30s, and while the BT is SO much better with these, the audio - the important part, was incomparable. So they had to go back.
Pros: Design. Bluetooth reliability.
Cons: Weak audio. No bass. Limited midrange. Ancient Bose QuietControl 30 had better range.
