Bowers & Wilkins PX Wireless - B&W's active noise cancellation reduces external sound while preserving musical detail
Crutchfield: Bowers & Wilkins PX Wireless noise-canceling headphones
Bowers & Wilkins PX Wireless - Made from high-quality, durable materials like aluminum, leather, and ballistic nylon
The Bowers & Wilkins wireless headphones are built with high-grade materials and offer top-notch noise cancellation.
Bowers & Wilkins speakers have been world-renowned for over 50 years. So I'm not surprised at how quickly the British audio experts have made a name for themselves in the headphone world. They make some of the best-reviewed headphones we carry. The B&W PX wireless headphones are the company's first noise-cancellers, and maybe their most ambitious 'phones yet.
Consider everything these headphones can do. The PXs: (A) offer Bluetooth for playing music wirelessly, (B) include adaptive noise-canceling circuitry, and (C) still manage to preserve B&W's legendary reputation for performance. When all the noise and fuss around you disappear, you're left with pristine, powerful sound.
On-the-go headphones usually land in one of two camps: durable or stylish. When B&W designed the PX 'phones, they figured out a way to accomplish both. Their aluminum frame makes them strong and light, yet sculpted and elegant. They look and feel smooth at every angle.
Here's a really nifty touch: the headphones will automatically pause your music when you remove or lift an earcup. Then they'll resume playing when you put them back on. That's really convenient if someone quickly needs your attention — like a flight attendant taking drink orders.
These headphones boast a 22 hour battery life with noise cancellation, so they should last most trips — and certainly most commutes. And B&W's specially designed noise-canceling circuitry is super-flexible. Download the Bowers & Wilkins smartphone app, and you can choose the amount of noise cancellation based on your surroundings.
The filters are named Flight, City, and Office. I put them to an extreme test.
So this all sounds good on paper, but how does B&W's noise cancellation hold up in the real world? I tried it in one of the loudest, most chaotic places we have at Crutchfield HQ — the photo studio right before a catalog deadline.
Tunes from the '80s blared on the stereo. Photo props got dragged around and slammed into place. All the while, our art designers and photographers yelled back and forth, eager to get the right shot.
When I first put on the PX headphones, the noise-canceling circuitry hushed the room to a manageable murmur. Then I pushed play on a Spotify "Relaxation" playlist, and the only hectic part that remained, for me, was the flashing of the camera and the sight of people pacing back and forth.
I stood in the corner so I could stay out of the way. A bookshelf speaker, mounted about 16 inches above my head, pumped out tunes. While I could feel the woofer's pulse, I couldn't make out what was playing over my own music in the headphones.
I only realized how loud the speaker was playing when I lifted the right earcup, and the headphones automatically turned off. The loud chorus to "Love Stinks" by the J. Geils Band gave me a jolt.
I was surprised how calm the quieting of external noise made me feel — even as everyone moved around frantically. I was under the same work deadline as each person in that room, yet somehow listening to the PX headphones removed the stress of the situation. They put me in a tranquil, above-the-fray mindset.
Fantastic sounding cans, maybe a tad bit heavy on the head for some. I am a muscular 6ft 2in and my neck was just slightly sore from wearing them for 7-8 hrs, but no problems since that time. Would still recommend them to anyone.

Average Customer Review(s):
Outstanding over ear headphones. Best sound and clarity of sound I have ever purchased.
I bought these on a whim because I had gift cards and they were on sale (only the blue/gold ones were left). I needed a good pair of noise-canceling headphones that were both Bluetooth and wired. Holy smokes are these good! My hubby has the Sennheiser PXC480, which are very good, and we both think these are better in comparison. I'm a happy camper at work or on airplanes with these cans on my ears, blocking out all the background noise and delivering great sound quality for my music. Call quality is also excellent with these. These headphones are well-made and seem very sturdy. I find them very comfortable despite a "tight" fit around the ears, but that fit is what makes these great at blocking out background noise. They are also stylish, especially the blue/gold pair. I've had several people ask me about them and want to try them out. I'm very happy with this purchase!
Pros: Well-made, comfortable large ear cups, easy-to-use controls, and quite stylish!
Fantastic sounding cans, maybe a tad bit heavy on the head for some. I am a muscular 6ft 2in and my neck was just slightly sore from wearing them for 7-8 hrs, but no problems since that time. Would still recommend them to anyone.
Pros: Absolulty fantastic sound. From Alison Krauss to Janet Jackson, AC/DC to ZZ Top, and Slayer to Type O Negative they all sound amazing.
Cons: Maybe slightly heavy on the head for some
These are phenomenal.
I love it! I was hesitating between the Bowers & Wilkins PX and the more popular Bose QC35ii. After some research I decided to go with the PX since audio quality is more important to me than noise cancelling. Very happy that I did! I have it paired to my iphone and choose VOX music player instead of the apple music app to run it, what a difference that made! I'm by no means an audiophile, but I enjoy good sounding music and these headphones did the trick, and they look great too.
Pros: Sounds good Looks good
Cons: No hard case
I over researched these headphones and compared them with all the competitors. Unless you have all options side by side with the same music and same music source, I don't know how you could actually compare one to the other on sound. I listened to these, the B&O, Bose, & Sony. The ear cups on these initially feel tight but after hours, they do not cause discomfort. This is intuitively necessary for quietening the environment. They are not as cushy as the Sony or B&O, but every bit as comfortable. The sound quality is very good, I believe as good or better than the others qualified by my first observation above. They are made well and are very attractive; on par with the B&O and far ahead of Bose or Sony. An unaccompanied child on an American Airlines flight with his feet in my back singing a lolly pop song for 4 hours made me purchase noise canceling headphones. I like that this is able to be adjusted from off, office, to airplane, and has a voice pass through. Battery life is good. The case is cloth and is easy to pack. I thought I would prefer a hard case but this is actually better. In fact most of the things I would have complained about initially appear now as advantages. They are black leather with blue fabric. The ear cups appear smaller than most but fit my head (61cm hat) just fine. No regrets.
Pros: Quality construction Very attractive Good sound Good phone app Good overall
Cons: Hard to find to listen to before purchase
The PX wireless are a huge improvement over my aging Bose on ear headphones. Much better clarity, bass, and sound suppression. Very glad I finally made the move to B&W.
Pros: Noise suppression, musical clarity
Cons: None yet.
Excellent build quality. Comfortable to wear for hours out of the box and getting more comfortable with use. Sound quality is excellent, much better than my previous Bose QC. Mid to high detail is much better and more defined soundstage imaging. Drivers do require break in to get the best sound quality. Have not yet used these on flights, but typically do not use the noise cancelling in office. Have not had any issues with bluetooth pairing. Phone app works seamlessly. Only gripe is that a hard case is not included.
Pros: Excellent sound and build quality. Comfortable out of the box
Cons: No hard case!
Marquee features: superbly detailed sound and stunning design in a bluetooth headphone. Comfort features often cited are not an issue for me. Connectivity is good, device switching could perhaps be a bit more facile but I'm reaching for something to criticize with that point. Out of the box they were a bit strident in the 7-9kHz range, but mellowed nicely for me within about 12 hours. I like a tad more bass than these generally put out, but they respond to EQ just fine.
Pros: Excellent sound quality Beautiful design Top flight build quality Easy transport control and power management
Cons: Sometimes have to disconnect one connection manually to switch devices Might need EQ boost to satisfy bassheads
Having tried both Beats and Sony 1000xm2 (there's something about "Quiet Comfort" name for the Bose that makes me feel uncomfortable). Though I really liked the Sonys and would certainly buy them if I travelled more, their noise cancelling is great and sound very good. But I was really drawn to the Bowers & Wilkins design and reports of great sound over anything else. And they do sound amazing but was surprised to find out they do need a little time to get that great sound ("burning in period"). The noise cancelling is not as good as Bose, Sony or even Beats but as I only fly once a year and live in a car place like LA I was willing to trade N/C for better quality sound and build. I love the PX headphones. But if you're a frequent flyer and/or city commuter I'd consider Sony or Bose.
Pros: Quality materials and build Fantastic sound
Cons: Not great storage case Noise cancelling could be better App needs work
Excellent construction, fit and sound reproduction.
Firstly, the overall quality of the product is as you would expect from B&W, probably the best travel headphones on the market but I do have a couple of peeves. I fly a lot and have played the Bose game for years. Bose gets it, hard case, aaa battery so if your on an old plane or if you forgot to charge your phones, your still good. The soft pouch for travel is lame, I worry about damage in my bag. B&W make a hard case, how hard can it be! Not a deal breaker but it would be nice. From a customer with 803s in the living room and B&W's in the office, big fan of the brand even in this new generation they seem to get the history and where they came from.
Pros: Ease of use, great feel, best sound for travel headphones.
Cons: Heavy. Soft pouch is lame for travel.
These sound great and are super comfortable. High quality. Love that they automatically go on or off when put on or taken off. Sound is amazing!
Pros: Great sound. Fits my head like a glove -super comfortable. Convenient on / off
The sound quality of the PX headphones is excellent. The noise adjustable cancelling level control via the app is excellent, as is the ability to monitor battery charge through the app. The bluetooth works flawlessly. My disappointment is that the wear sensors (which stop play when an ear cup is pulled away from an ear) quit functioning if it is very humid or if you are outside/sweating. The simplicity of the wear sensors was one of the reasons I bought theses headphones. According to B&W customer support "Unfortunately this is known to happen due to the sweat and moisture disrupting the wear sensor. There is currently no known work around for this issue." It would have been nice to know this before purchasing.
these are the best headphones I have every owned. i brought them for quality of the material. Others cost about the same, sound good, but after a while they fall apart . These phones are not plastic. These are the smartest wireless headphones i have every heard of... smart!!! I love them!
Pros: the best sound, great bass, you get more, quality construction
Ergonomically sturdy with nice flat response; no low-end bias, punchy bass, not muddy, not thin!
Pros: Flat frequency response. Sturdy design.
Right out of the box, I was blown away by the build quality, sound, and flexibility of connection options. Also, the ability to turn on and off the noise canceling and auto pause is a big plus. But then things took a turn for the worst. Once I connected the headphones to my pixel phone through bluetooth and put the phone in my pocket, the skipping started. This is my benchmark because I use my sport bluetooth headphones and can have my phone in any pocket and it doesn't skip. The next step was to turn off auto pause and noise cancelling to see if there was a processing issue. It didn't help. I had to return these headphones. I must say that it is possible I had a lemon, and I wanted this to work for me because it's the only headphones that uses USB-C, wired and bluetooth. And USB-C meant I could use the same charger as my laptop and phone. Sadly it didn't work and I'm back to micro-USB for my listening devices. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TRYING THESE FIRST AT ONE OF THOSE AIRPORT ELECTRONIC STORES. BUT I ALSO RECOMMEND CRUTCHFIELD FOR BUYING SINCE THEY HAVE THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Pros: - USB-C, 3.5mm, and bluetooth. Future proof. - Design - Sound quality - Adjustable noise cancellation
Cons: - Bluetooth Connection Skipped - Not Collapsable - Ear cups not very subtle and head pressure was more than others
First I bought a pair of BOSE QuietComfort 35 ii headphones. They did not meet my noise canceling expectations. Also listening to music things just did not sound correct. When I returned them I ordered these B&W PX headphones. They gave a more refined ability to tweak the noise canceling and match how my ears process better. The sound quality when listening to music is more pure than the Bose, ion my opinion. I'm having one issue that is not a big deal. I cannot confirm if the issue is with the bluetooth of headphones or my Apple devices. The bluetooth link seems to get corrupted and does not connect. I have found that executing the factory reset feature within the app followed by recreating the bluetooth link fixes this. This process just takes a few seconds. Then all is fine until the next time it stops working. Like I said this could be an issue with my iPhone 6S or my older iPad. I really like these headphones.
Pros: Great noise canceling and high quality sounds
Cons: Bluetooth linking
I find these headphones to be very comfortable and they have the usual superb B&W sound. The design already isolates a lot of environmental sound. I wore them riding my ATV and didn't even need the ANC to enjoy music. I have not compared them to any other headphones in their class because I have never been disappointed with B&W. I am a casual music lover and I don't know a lot of the terminology other reviewers are using. But I know what I like. I highly recommend these headphones.
Noise cancelling and comfort like no other.
Impressive sound quality for bluetooth headphones. Very easy to use. The auto start/stop function (i.e., put it on your head or remove it from head) is intuitive and work very well.
I used and listened to these headphones for about a solid 2 weeks. They sounded great and clear. I've docked a star off of them because: 1) they were a bit too tight for my head. I wear glasses and that made a bit uncomfortable listening to music for a length of time. 2) Personal preference, but the bass was not quite enough to really enjoy the headphones. The sound was clear and detailed. To me, I noticed the ANC on different levels changed the sound of the music some. I didn't care for that. They do look great!!
Pros: Good clear Sound Bass sound was more natural/neutral.
Cons: tight and stiff for my head. lacking bass for my taste
Overall these are a very good pair of headphones. They are very well made, and feel as though they where built to last. The active noise cancellation is on par with other over ear ANC headphones I've tried. The sound quality is very pleasant as well, although I feel that both the sound and volume level is slightly off the mark for a Bowers & Wilkins product. (I also own a pair of B&W P5 wireless on ear headphones which sound better in my opinion and have a higher volume ceiling) Still I truly believe the PX series to be the best sounding ANC headphone I've tried, the sound quality takes a hit with the ANC active, but the ANC can be completely disabled to get the best sound quality out of the PX's. Personally I find the headphones to be comfortable, and can wear them for hours without any fatigue. Overall the PX series is a success in my opinion. They do everything very well, if the sound quality and volume ceiling was a little better I would give them a five star review.
Pros: Solid sound, great build quality, ANC on par with competitors
Cons: Sound and volume not quite as good as other Bowers & Wilkins products. It takes at least 30 hour of burn in/break in time before the PX start to sound dynamic, which is to be expected with B&W products.
These headphones have made me realize that every other pair of headphones that I've owned prior to this were a lie. You can hear literally everything in the song as it was recorded. Guitar players hand brushing the strings between chords, vocalist breath between verses, the tiniest little details that you didn't even know are in the songs are suddenly there in glorious detail. You absolutely feel like you are in the studio and the range and sound quality are phenomenal. It was almost freakish at first given I've never owned a pair of high end headphones. It took a lot of messing with my EQ settings and getting used to before I realized that all headphones prior to these were changing the music and I hadn't truly been hearing the actual recordings. I'm rediscovering my music collection and am amazed at all that I had been missing. I listen mainly to rock music and these headphones do it all. Drums are tight without "mud", bass guitar is more present and detailed, vocals and guitar are rich and incomparable. I bought these primarily to the listen to my digital music collection in Apple Lossless format using jRiver via wired connection on Windows 10 and using Neutron player on Android via bluetooth (Pixel 2 XL / Apt X HD bluetooth codec). Sound quality for me was a primary consideration and noise cancellation was only an unnecessary but welcomed bonus.
Pros: Gorgeous sound, super high quality build. Very comfortable. USB-C is great, I can plug directly into my Pixel 2 XL and power/charge the headphones from phone's battery while listening over the same cable.
Cons: If there are any I haven't found them yet.
These headphones are awesome..
Pros: sound great
I have owned several pairs of quality wired cans over the years,, including Grados, upper end Sony, etc. I have previously had Bose QC 35 (series I) for my wireless and travel cans. The PX wireless are as much of a step up as I could have possibly guessed or imagined. I updated the firmware through the app before I even started listening, and even before these babies were broken in, the sound was quite impressive. They make the Bose sound like some cheap 1985 Walkman headphones. I could not be happier. Have not had the need to test out the noise cancellation, as I am using them at home for audio and TV viewing, primarily, but they are comfortable, very well built, and the sound (which is highest priority for me) is outstanding, equal to my best wired cans. If you are on the fence, these knock it out of the park!
Pros: Build quality, comfort, and most of all impressive sound quality
Cons: More expensive than competitors (but justifiably so)
Noise cancellation is very good while delivering high quality audio. The auto start/stop and power management actually works quite well and the battery life is outstanding.
Great sound works with my Mac book pro and my iphone at the same time good for working out too
Didn't like the earcups. The sound was average at best.
Cons: Ear cups and sound
I love these. I purchased them for the wireless feature. They work great and sound better than the P3's that I've had for years. Battery life is good. Noise cancelling works great for me at the office. No regrets and as always crutchfield experience was perfect.
Pros: Sound quality
Cons: Bluetooth on/off when taking off my head wasn't perfect but has improved with use and firmware updates.
Great looks! Great full sound!
Excellent sound stage and most importantly when you are in the subway tunnel or walking in windy places you will not hear the wind noise seeping in (which is a problem with both Bose QC 35 and Sony 1000 mxII ) . However the noise cancellation is not great as compared to the other two brands. If you are looking for true music reproduction go for PX !! Wearing comfort and battery life is very good .
Pros: Sound quality and battery life
Cons: Noise cancellation
Love the design. Sound fidelity is great. I haven't been able to achieve a good sound stage effect. Seems like left and right channels, not a middle "sound stage". Also, I can't tell when the noise cancellation is on or off. I can't hear the difference.
My initial reaction with these headphones was a huge disappointment. I was ready to pack them up and ship them back to Crutchfield. What a mistake that would have been. I just opened the package, paired them to my phone and ripped through some tracks. I later realized I should load the app and give these cans a thorough testing before I make my final decision. Once loaded, the app was ready to update the firmware of the headphones which I did and took about 8-10 minutes. I then turned off the filter for noise cancellation because my main focus is sound quality. What a difference! Crackling from the left speaker disappeared and the overall sound was more crisp and detailed. I only have a few hours of play time with these and noticed the sound keeps getting better. The sound in general seems very neutral but is very clean. Bass is good but not too over powering. Highs are detailed and not tinny. Mids for me are just right. I can hear things with these that I just cant hear with my Beats Solo 2 wireless. I also have a pair of B&W P5's which I love and these headphones imo put the P5's to shame. Design and build quality is excellent. Headphones are a bit tight so adds pressure to the sides of your head just behind and below your ears but to me is not a deal breaker. Noise cancellation seems to work good, Bluetooth connectivity is fine but auto sensing not 100% but I can live with it. Bottom line... glad I decided to test these further.
Pros: Great design, solid build quality and great sound. My primary headphones when I want premium sound.
Cons: Tight around ears, a bit on the heavy side
The Bowers & Wilkins Px are a good pair of headphones, they are well built and the brand use a little different design compared to what they used to be but in a good way certainly and also maintaining the lines of design of their previous headphones. In my opinion the sound is really really good, I bought a P5s three years ago and they were fine until for no reason they stop working, so I replace them with a H8 from B&O, those also sound espectacular with a little complainings about the features sometimes, but good in general. So, comparing the PX with the headphones I previously have used to listen. Are a step ahead, maybe not not a big one, but yes. I can appreciate that B&W learn a lot from their mistakes with his previous headphones, Im referring this time to the P5s fist generation, in those, the bass were distorted in heavy bass songs like modern electronic music, hip hop and sometimes R&B. Now with the PX that don't happen, the bass is really controlled, its not distorted even in high volumes, but I find it a little tick sometimes, but maybe is just me. The middles are really good nothing to complain about, the vocals are well tuned and precise, the tones achieved in opera song and classical music in general are well played, also I notice this headphone have really good timing with music in general. I recommend the PXs, B&W is now a mature headphone maker with good quality standards, not as high as their top speakers, but good. Maybe some things co
Pros: -Good sound -Quality materials -Nice useful features -Sound will get better the more you use your headphones
Cons: -The bag that comes with the headphones could be better -The bass is a little tick sometimes
I was pretty excited about these headphones. I own the P7 wired and thought I would make the wireless leap. These are some of the worst sounding headphones. I can't believe that this is a B&W product. The sound is like it is coming through the end of a Pringles can. It is very thin and oddly unnatural sounding with and without the noise canceling. I am very bummed. There are some Sony headphones that kill these.
Pros: Very beatiful
Cons: Sound terrible
Long time B&W fan, have their (older) floor-standing speakers and everything else for in-home theater but their sub. Also have earlier version of their wired headphones. Wanted to cut that particular cord and have been extremely pleased with these. First of all, they were instantly comfortable, even for my big (don't say Dumbo-sized) ears. Have since used several long days and there is only the slightest bit of pressure after a few hours, always from the top of my head, never from the ear cups. Like some others, I experienced hiccups with the sensor that detects movement, so I switched it to the lowest setting - no problems since. Phones do not instantly shut off music at this setting but it's just not an issue for me. Have only tried the noise cancelling at home (not yet on airplane) but the sounds of the house - microwave, bathroom fan, etc. - basically disappear. That said, noise cancelling does definitely affect sound quality. Bluetooth connection - no problem. B&W app on Android phone - no problem. As for sound, I can only detect the slightest difference between wired/wireless versions. With either, I still find myself hearing things I've never heard from any other playback system. Highly recommended.
Pros: - Wonderful, rich sound - Very comfortable, even over long periods - Crutchfield service - arrived one day early
Cons: - Motion sensor buggy - $$$
I admit that I was "star struck" reading about these phones on the Internet before I ordered them. They are nice, but after having them for a while, I kind of wish that I hadn't bought them. (At the same time, I admit that I am not going to return them, either.) I can't talk about the Apple app, but the Android app is buggy, and from what I have read, they don't seem to be doing much about it. I think that I would have been just as happy buying something for half (or even less) the price, and spending the remaining money on something else fun.
Pros: High Quality, Good Sound
Cons: Price, Buggy Smartphone App.
First and foremost, I'll start my review with the usual disclaimer that I don't consider myself an audiophile or anything remotely close to one. I just know good sound when I hear it. I recently purchase the Beats Studio 3 Wireless, but I returned them because the music wasn't balanced. The highs were too loud at normal listening levels and you had to turn the headphones up extremely high to get adequate bass. Apple totally changed things from when the were made by Monster (too much bass then). The Beats were also physically too big for me and the controls forced you to press the headphones against your head. Now for the actual PX Wireless review. I received mine on 12/04/17. Out of the box they were pretty buggy as the Bluetooth connection kept dropping and the headphones would pause all of my songs when I moved my head. I checked for an update using the app and one was available. After the update, all was well. The sound is very balanced and I enjoy having three different levels for the noise cancellation feature. I like being able to open the app, select the setting I want, and then enjoy my listening session instead of the all or nothing approach. The headphone controls are easily accessible and don't impede your comfort by forcing you to readjust the headphones when your switching tracks or adjusting the volume. Having the ability to turn off the Natural UI or adjust the sensitivity in the app is a great feature. B&W did well for their first NC model
Pros: Size, sound, and quality materials.
Very balanced and crisp sound, based on the reviews on other forums I was expecting to be "bassy" but it's just right. Also, the clarity increased while progressing thru the burn in period. 3 stars because the headphones unfortunately are leaking out a lot of noise, people sitting within 3-5 feet of me can clearly understand the lyrics when the volume is 75%+, not sure if it's this particular headset. Crutchfield team is great and very supportive, will highly recommend buying any gear from them.
Absolutely the best Bluetooth headphones I have ever heard. The sound quality is amazing. Very balanced sound. I have been hearing details in music that I've never heard before. Trust me you will not be disappointed in purchasing these.
Pros: Amazing sound, decent noise cancelling
Cons: Slight degradation of sound with ANC on.
I am blown away by the separation and clarity of the sound - AMAZING. I have had no connectivity issues. I love these headphones - the quality is superb and the overall experience is simply sublime. I wore these for 4 hours last night - never took them off, never felt uncomfortable. I heard sounds I'd never heard before. Bowers and Wilkins quality!
Pros: Sound quality - separation and clarity. Very comfortable. No connectivity issues Superb Craftsmanship
Cons: None to Note
I have a lot of B&W equipment. Headphones, Home stereo speakers and portable bluetooth speakers. Have always been blown away by the build quality and excellent sound of all other B&W kit I have. I am a bit disappointed by this latest offering.
Pros: -Sound is good and immersive -Battery life is also good
Cons: -Adaptive Noise cancelling is not really useful. Wanted to use this in an office setting to still be able to hear voices around me, but doesn't work very well. Voices do not come through unless the person is within a foot or so. This is the main reason I bought this pair of Headphones. -Bluetooth is very spotty. Have been in various environments and sometimes it will only stay connected to my iPhone for about 3-4 minutes and then drop off. Other times it will stay connected for 30 minutes or more. Have never had this issue with any other bluetooth devices (3+) using this same iPhone, so I have to believe it is a specific problem with the B&W headset.
Comfortable and sounds great.
Excellent sound and clarity. Noise cancellation isn't able to block everything out, but still quite good for a bluetooth headset. Extra features (auto pause) work great.
Decent headphones. First pair of Bluetooth headphones so don't have a good basis for comparison. The active noise cancellation is kind of trash, loud popping sounds and other feedback while riding the subway or walking down a busy street. Obviously the noise cancellation cannot cope. Leave it off and everything is fine. Big shout out to Crutchfield for some awesome customer service that came through in a pinch.
Pros: Good sound quality for wireless headphones.
Cons: Hard to pair. Active noise cancellation not all it's cracked up to be.
Absolutely amazing sound. And for me personally, supremely comfortable, after about 10 minutes of wearing I can't say whether it's even there. Don't have the problem with the headband and I have a large head! Sound without noise cancelling is pristine. In symphony pieces you can make out individual instruments with ease. Noise cancelling might not be as good as Bose and sound quality takes a hit but eminently workable. Would recommend this for everyone for a
Pros: Amazing crystal clear sound Super comfortable Looks great too
Cons: Nothing really
Great value, amazing sound quality. Would have liked a hard case but other than than no quibbles!
Best purchase I've made in a long time. Upgraded from the P7 and am very glad I did. Are an excellent product.
Pros: Sound, comfort, ease of use
Cons: Still think Overear headphones look silly no matter what.
Wow. The sound from these headphones is amazing. I heard parts of songs i had never heard before and sat in a noisy airport with little idea of the noise around me. I would like a little control of the music. There is no ability to tailer the music like the ziks and that would be a welcome upgrade to the app. One note, if you have it paired with more than one device you will definitely want to turn the Bluetooth off on the one you arent using as they will fight. Overall love these headphones, they sound, look and fit great!
These are fantastic headphones that reproduce sound very accurately. They do not have the heavy bass that Beats have so if you listen to type of music, the Beats line may be a better option. These headphones do not seem to falsely enhance any area of the sound but reproduce the music exactly as it was intended. They are very comfortable and can easily be worn for extended periods. The sensor that detects and stops the music when you remove the headphones or lift an earpiece is not perfect but works most of the time. You can also turn this function off if you want to. The noise cancellation works very well and I think the sound quality is excellent with it turned on. Overall an excellent choice for Bluetooth headphones.
Pros: Sound quality Comfort
Cons: A little large, may seem big on smaller heads
Terrific set of headphones. Takes a bit of time to get used to controlling the noise cancelling but B&W did a great job upgrading from the P7. Music is crisp-high and lows distinctive. These are not in-expensive, but from the stand point of quality and delivering value these stand ahead of the competition!
Pros: Great sound Technologically superior Solid noise cancelling
Cons: Expensive Adjusting noise cancelling takes time to get used to

Adaptive Noise Cancelling (ANC): The B&W PX headphones offer Adaptive Noise Cancelling (ANC) to block out ambient sound so you can concentrate on your music. Four microphones (2 inside and 2 outside the earcups) are utilized for ANC. Using the Bowers & Wilkins Headphones App, you can select the Environmental Filter that suits your listening situation: Office, City, or Flight. The Voice Pass-Through feature lets you adjust the volume of sounds in the range of the human voice.
B&W Headphones App: The Bowers & Wilkins Headphones App is designed to optimize the use of the PX headphones with your smartphone or tablet. Opening the app on your device automatically makes pairing extremely easy. In addition to the Environmental Filter, the app lets you turn on the Wear Sensor and adjust its sensitivity. The app indicates the battery charge level of your headphones and the current firmware version at a glance. Any firmware updates from the manufacturer can be uploaded to the headphones from the app. The app is compatible with iOS (10.0 or later) and Android (5.0 and up) devices.
Intuitive Self-controls: Proximity sensors placed around the ear cups allow the PX headphones to perform specific actions automatically. The headphones enter standby mode and disconnect from any connected Bluetooth devices two minutes after you remove them from your head. They automatically wake from standby and connect to the last connected Bluetooth device when you put them on. When you lift an earcup or place the headphones around your neck, your music pauses. Playback resumes when you place them back on your head.
Rechargeable Battery: The headphones are powered by a rechargeable Lithium Polymer battery that is charged via USB with the supplied USB-C cable. With a 3 hour full charge, the PX Wireless offers the following battery life:
Ear Cups and Drivers: The PX wireless headphones feature reference-quality 40mm dynamic drivers that are angled inside the ear cup for a realistic soundstage. The over-ear design and soft leather memory foam cushions help to block most ambient noise and keep your music inside the ear cups. The removable magnetic ear pads allow you to replace the pads if they gets damaged.
Folding Design: The ear cups swivel so you can fold them flat for compact storage in the supplied soft padded pouch.
Cables: The B&W PX wireless headphones can be used with a wired connection, if desired. Wired connections are useful on an aircraft or when listening to music on a traditional stereo system or computer. You can still utilize ANC when using a wired connection to shut out ambient noise. A 51" mini-jack (3.5mm) audio cable and a 48" USB-C cable are included.
Note: When using a wired connection, you still need to power on the headphones, and the volume, answer/end call, and play/pause buttons do not function.
On-board Controls: The on-board controls on the back of the right ear cup let you raise and lower the volume, and control the music playback (play, pause, next track, previous track) while you're in active mode (using Bluetooth). The controls will not operate when used in passive (wired) mode. The PX Wireless headphones also have two microphones for clear phone conversations.

They are pricey, but I am okay investing in a device that will be used on a daily basis. I had a few must-haves for my wireless bluetooth headphone purchase: 4.0+ bluetooth, USB-C port, 20+ hours battery life, World Class Sound, Subdued looks that is stylish but not to flashy, Adjustable noise cancellation, Auto on/off when removing from head. I realize this list is pretty narrow but somehow found Bowers and Wilkins PX's that check every item! [ Christopher Apr 25, 2018 ]
I purchased this product because I really need sound cancellation due to a seizure disorder that occurred after having a head injury. Sound can trigger seizure activity in my case.I've tried Bose products in the past and they just keep breaking, or failing, I own a pair of B&W p5 wireless headphones and I'm very happy with there build quality, so hopefully the new PX series will be helpful. [ Christopher Mar 16, 2018 ]
After watching 10 Youtube reviews and comparison videos and checking 5 different "Best of" websites I came to the conclusion of getting these B&W PX headphones. Im not following the crowd that thinks "Beats" are actual headphones. The B&W PX have superb sound, durability, look, feel, and so much more. 2 year warranty vs all the others which offer 1. There are not enough characters allowed in this response to list all the ways these headphones are better. [ Shawn Feb 02, 2018 ]

I bought the P7 couple months ago and was absolutely blown away by the detailed sound quality, PX is a new addition to the family with a lot of features.
