Features

5 Gigabit Ethernet Ports: The Linksys SE3005 is equipped with 5 Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 ports. You can connect up to 5 Ethernet network devices such as computers, storage, gaming devices, and printers. You can also cascade other networking devices like a switch or router to further expand your network.

Network Standards: The Linksys SE3005 switch is compliant with IEEE 802.3, 802.3u, 802.3x, 802.3ab, and 802.3az standards.

Auto-Sensing: The Auto-sensing Ethernet ports adjust to maximize data flow rates for 10/100/1000 Mbps.

Quality of Service (QoS): Quality of Service (QoS) is used to set up priority and attention to specific devices, services or applications within the network through the router, so that the maximum amount of available throughput and speed can be used for better audio and video streaming.

Internet Pass-Through: If the switch is connected to a router, computers connected to the switch will have Internet access. Only routers or modems with DHCP capabilities can allow sharing of Internet connection between computers.

Customer Q&A

Q
When you plug in a modem does it matter which port you use? Why is 1 port an orange light and other ports green lights?

A
Your asking about a modem, but the Linksys SE3005 Is a switch. I need to know if the modem Is a combination modem/router or modem/router with telephone or DSL

A
Connection from internet/router obviously goes to port 1. I used port's 4&5, for no particular reason, to connect to TV and then to receiver. Lights on the front of Linksys box is blue for port 1, and green for ports 4&5.
